as an incoming fresher, I need my student ID to fill out a form. where do I find that and is it the same as my ucas id?

starting in september (maths, cripps) - what does everyone do for freshers? my friends going to other unis are talking about wristbands and signing up for events and stuff, ive no idea whats going on pls help 🙃

whats you guys plans- results or ucas first, and then straight to spoons? open with friends or family or alone?

youre exams officers now know your results and your firm or insurance have likely decided on you.

pub crawl or one place all day?

I was predicted A*A*A + Aa when I applied but idk i didnt feel very confident in my predictions so the highest course I applied to was bath maths stats data science course. also I didnt take A level FM. I didnt take it in y12 because as above I didnt feel like I was very clever so didnt take it and ended up finding A level maths incredibly easy so self learnt AS fm independently. so ive firmed nottingham and insured Sheffield.

if I got my predicted or better, as I think its possible to get an A* in physics and I know i got an A* in epq, so A*A*A* + A*a, do you think its worth taking a year out and completing the rest of further maths and applying to Oxbridge? I dont have many supercurriculars or anything but I feel like ive let myself down with my uni applications as maybe ive wasted my potential a bit cause I didnt realise I actually had some ability. my maths teachers are all shocked by the places I applied and insistent I could have done better.

so idk. what do you guys think?

specifically CHIPS even better if theyre from a chippy.

ive been tutoring a y8 (england, shes 12/13) student for a year now. shes fairly bright but struggles in school i think. engages well in tutoring. she got 10% on her end of year test in y7 and 15% this year. with a year of tutoring between. the questions she attempted she got more than half the marks, but most of the questions she just left blank. and I know she didnt run out of time. how do I get her to at least just have a go!

what do you guys use? a notebook, laptop, ipad etc. how do you keep stuff organised. do you need to use your notes from previous modules (eg if you use a notebook, do you have to have your older ones accesable)

Last year I helped out at one of my school productions with the lights and mics and stuff, and the guy they hired sayd to me I could email him and I could tag along to some work of his over the summer. that was last summer tho and I didnt do that.

ive finished y13 now and cant find a job so thought I might email him and ask if hes doing anything locally I could help with?

would that be really weird? esp as that was like a year and a half ago now

hi! I finished my a levels a couple weeks ago and haven't touched any work since, but im starting to feel a bit bored. obviously im meeting up with my friends loads and enjoying my summer but I need something to get my brain working.

im starting an undergrad in maths in september. my favourite at a level was pure maths, not applied at all. I dont really know what im asking... but is there anything I could look at/learn about over the summer. I dont really care about getting ahead for uni although I guess that would be good, but something interesting

anyone having extremely vivid dreams ab results day? exams fill your every waking thought?

ive only got applied maths left and im completely exhausted. I literally cant get myself to do any work on it. im so fed up of exams and revision. and its just hit me that school is actually over, for good this time. everything just feels like too much

i predict i got 84 on paper 1 and 98 on paper 2 (edexcel). so from last years grade boundaries id need 74 on paper 3 for an A*. I really hate applied and haven't done any in ages. I could probably get 60 if I sat it right now but I dont really know what to do to revise. Pure I could just spam past papers cause I knew the content but I dont know how to revise when I dont know it already.

people aiming for an A* what are we getting on these papers? I got 85 on paper A which seemed decent to me so I skipped to K and I am STRUGGLING. should I be able to do these ones like honestly? I've got about 55% which seems pretty rubbish when im aiming for 90+ on the exams

silly question- the videos of ensuite rooms on the website are all from derby hall. I understand this will vary between halls. are there shower curtains or proper showers in each of the halls ensuites? especially
