Favorite brand of frozen fruit?
I always keep an extra bag of frozen fruit on hand for when I run out of fresh berries….anyone have preferred brand?
Philly Walks
Walking 10 miles a day in the city. I’m jealous of everyone’s nature walks but I love this city
Planning her escape
Maxine’s back legs are nonfunctional, she is not at risk of jumping out.
Ringworm Baby Agnes
Someone wasn’t impressed with their lime sulfur dip - she has ringworm lesions all over. Agnes is my foster kitten via the shelter, who came in with ringworm.
Overnight guest
The littlest peanut butter cup!!! Cared for her overnight until a rescue foster grabbed her.
I work with a few rescues and always offer short term fostering to help out, a lot of times they just need a day or two to save an animal!! Fostering long term definitely isn’t for everyone, but there’s so many ways to help.
Maxine and Bebe
Maxine front and center and Bee photobombing in the back 😂
Bee
She’s always obviously annoyed when I enter her space.
Maxy loving some time outside to smell the air and sun bathe.
Maxine has a congenital deformity that impacts her back legs and isn’t able to run off, but she loves her time outside. I don’t encourage anyone to let their cats out!!
This photo just came up on my memories from four years ago….which means it’s been four years and a few weeks since my colony had any kittens. Babies came inside at one day old with mom. I worked with mom for two months to try and socialize before TNRing and releasing back to the yard. All the kittens found forever homes.
Everyone was fixed in 2020 when the yard was finally managed but we had a straggler show up and not realize it. The yard, at that time, was 10-12 orange and white cats that all looked similar. We overlooked when the new girl joined the yard. Luckily, all the feeders know the regulars now and we’ve been able to trap and TNR anyone new who shows up (which is less than one a year).
Big walking day, and my highest average month for April!
Anyone else walk a lot and not tell anyone? This group is the only place I ever share my steps. I don’t ever tell friends how excessive it is.
Bebe and Maxine are the only members in the house 😂
Bebe is the self assigned alpha cat in the home of five cats total. Maxine is both her minion and her punching bag, depending on Bee’s mood.
She has one eye left but it’s not a good one! Her pupil doesn’t constrict, so she’s assumed to be blind(ish).
She’s so crabby this morning….while screaming at me to pet her, but don’t pet her also. Wants breakfast, hides in the neighbors yard when I put it down. Only diva behavior today.
J is a loved (and TNRd) colony cats who has no interest in coming inside. If that ever changes, she has immediate rescue placement already available.
