From the coin machine magnet at my dump bank.

The teller cleared the magnet prior to running my coins and said they're Canadian. I asked if she ever got any steel pennies (no☹️). And in the course of conversation she offered me the Canadian coins which I happily pocketed. I am now the proud owner of 55 cents Canadian, 1 Thai Baht and 1 Philippines peso. Sadly they had no boxes of pennies to spare.

1882H Newfoundland $2

Going through my wife's inheritance. I new she had a few old coins but this is sweet. Not the best condition.

Edit, 50 cent piece not $2

Going through my wife's inheritance and these 2 stood out.

Not looking to sell but I'm curious of the value on them.

Box of nickel results

I feel I peaked a little early on this one. Found the 1945s in the 3rd roll and no other silver. Got my first 2026! And a Somali 5 shilling. Lots of pre 60s including 2-1941 and 2-1948. Best box overall in a bit.

I don't always put a junction box in a shower. But when I do, I make sure it's completely unnecessary.

So glad they don't build them like they used to.

Box of pennies results

10 wheat cents. Oldest is 1919. Really nice 1952 and 1956. Also quite a bit of good condition older cents. Several 2009. An interesting damaged 2001d. And 10 cents Canadian.

New to using a scope. Just want to know if I'm on the right track.

Most are suspected ddo. I can't tell if it's a die crack or scratch between the 83. Thanks

Any ideas? Found while chanterelle hunting in second growth Douglas fir forest. Western Washington.

Uptick in foreign coin.

Does anyone think we will see more odd ball foreign coin for a few years after the world cup? Obviously mostly on host cities. Recently I've gotten a coin from Panama and greece. Usually it's just the odd Canadian since we're near the border.

Results of $25 box of pennies.

Highlights were the 1924 wheat cent and the really nice 1959. Plus a bunch of nicely toned 60s and 70s

Is it worth it to buy the bags of coins from a bank change machine?

I opened a new account at a local credit union recently. Yesterday I took in a box of rolled nickels to deposit. I suppose I should have asked ahead of time how they prefer returned coin. They have a machine and I got to unroll all the coin. Which got me to wondering if buying the bags is worth it. Considering they would end up rerolled and back in circulation anyway.

I also learned some of my rolls were short a nickel. That was an embarrassing mistake that won't happen again.

Results from $500 in quarters.

The highlight was a 1957 2 dracma Greek coin. I've only found one other foreign coin(besides Canadian). And a pile of bicentennial coins. No W's. There are quite a few good condition state and national parks coins for my books.
