Convert bank a/c after citizenship

hi

how soon one has to convert bank a/c to nro/nre after becoming US citizen?

reason I m asking is I have several joint accts with my aged mom, who is unable to do bank related activities so I manage all that like kyc, atm renewal, tax filing, investments and having joint a/c helps.

I will have to remove my name from the joint a/c and it is not a straight fwd process with India banks… I will have to be in India for several weeks/months to do that.

note I dont want to convert these accts to NRO as its my moms money n best way to handle is to remove my name from the accounts.

will one get in trouble as soon as US citizenship is given?

also what will happen to sbi ppf account of mine after I become citizen? Can that stay as is?

Tight anal opening

i have hemorrhoids (protuding out) + anal fissure + skin tags, i am taking diosmin ( 1 tablet at night) for hemms n applying nitro glycerin ( for fissure) + lactulose. 2 times sitz bath ,use squatty potty n bidget, started doing pelvic exercises, reverse kegels n finger dilation (can only take 1 finger in easily) … my problem is my anus closes right at the start of bowel movement n refuses to open up… its very painful … and I have no option but to strain …

can anyone suggest anything else I can try?

my fissure is healing… no blood during BM but pain is unbearable … stays for 5-6 hrs after BM everyday.

Mom - appetite

my mom (75F) has been suffering from dementia since 8 yrs and now is in stage 7, after a fall 3 weeks back, she lost all her weight is skin n bones now, bed bound, had a bed sore (which seems to be healing) , can sit for 30 mins or so… need help with everything… her food intake is 5 spoons of cerelac ( baby food) in breakfast n a banana sometimes, 5-6 spoons of porridge for lunch, n half glass of turmeric milk at night … her water intake is only when she is taking medicine 3 times a day … so a total of 250 ml or less.

she is mixing her kids n siblings, sometimes ask about my dad n dont seem to remember that he has passed. all the time asking when she can go home, ( she is in nursing home since 4 yrs) doesnot understand what a diaper is.

her situation right after fall was worse but since then she seems to be recovering.

I just want to gauge, how long a person can survive with such less calorie intake.

How much time more?

My mom 75, dealing with dementia since 7-8 yrs n in a memory care in India since 4 yrs … she had a fall one week back ( no fracture) n incontinence n now she is bed ridden, eating only banana n biscuits. her sugar, blood pressure is fine but hemoglobin is 6, RBC is low as well. She is getting blood clots in her hands. She is able to talk, but saying that she wants to die. feels like its stage 7

yesterday my aunt went to visit her and mom thought its me, only after 30 mins she was able to recognize her .

I m traveling next week to India.

I just want to gauge how much time she has?

Can you tell which stage my mom is in?

For context, my mum (75) lives 9000 miles away, she has been suffering from short term memory loss since 8 yrs (after her uterus cancer, also wears a pacemaker ) and is gradually progressing. 4 yrs ago she fell at home n we had to get her admitted to a care facility ( which is not really for dementia patients) ( more of mental hospital, where my brother was getting treated for depression) but the place is fairly good (mom n brother both live together n it works out), it took some time adjusting for my mum but her health n general well being improved when she was getting her meds/meals properly.

i just visited her 3 months back n she seems fine.

last week she fell ( no fracture) n since then is bound to her room, not able to walk much she is having severe diarrhea ( incontinence has been happening since 2 yrs now). She is very agitated, angry, screaming n wants to use the loo to pee, every 5 mins. And today she fell again while going to the loo. She only remembers all her kids n sisters n maybe people she see daily in the care facility, gets angry easily n cries if we tell her “no” of anything she is doing. she is very frail n eating less since her fall.

she has never being properly diagnosed, it feels like she is in stage 6 but I just wanted to get advice from other people.

we r just trying to manage in whatever best we can do given I live in a different country.

I m scared n worried for her n feel guilty not being with her. I get 3 weeks off from my job and I use that to visit n meet her every year.

Should I consider it normal expected purging and continue using it?
