What do you guys use as liners ?

I tried using garbage bags, but the material was too thin. So I was wondering what material do you guys use to make liners?

Can we mix two different colonised grain varieties innoculated with the same strain?

I made two different grain jars to check which colonized faster, one with bajra and the other one with brown rice. But the bajra doesn't seem to be fully colonised esp at the bottom. Should I still send it? Strain : ATL7

First attempt at making agar plates

This was my first attempt at making petri dishes. These five were the only ones that didn't have any visible contamination. I'm planning to expand these to get clean and vigorous rhizomorphic growth. Which parts of the agar should be preferable for transfers?

How to clean up these plates

I innoculated these plates 15 days ago with liquid culture. Ended up spilling top much lc in the plates which caused contamination. I thought I'd see what happens in the plate, but the mycelium ended up covering the majority of the plates. Should I transfer this mycelium to clean plates or just throw them away.
