Who booked these violent kooks for supergirl comp?

Hippie Sabotage is an EDM duo who rose to notoriety in 2016 when they’re set ran along and a security guard asked them to stop. Instead of obliging and wrapping it up gracefully, they put that poor bastard in a headlock and double teamed him.

I don’t know about you boys, but I’m not a big fan of a 2-on-1 one fight. This is some true, not worthy of our city, talent in my opinion. These guys are trash.

And I don’t say that lightly. I try to be polite and have a PR background, but I had to speak up about this.

Who booked Hippie Sabotage for the SuperGirl Comp? 👀

E: organizers, cancel these fools. We ain’t got no time for violence in the city, bro. We can handle violence, but we damn sure don’t do it on a stage. We handle that shit like men. These are not men.

They were kooks 10 years ago. My opinions on their music aside, as a guy who spent his fair share of time in the pit, these dudes can go to hell. And to think they got booked for a women’s event would you want your daughters around these fools?

I’m a little disappointed in my community.

For the record, this was their response to being asked to e: end* their set. In the middle of the day. It’s not like they were headliners, some things never change I guess.

Talent on this years SuperGirl Oceanside (women’s) Tourney

These guys repulsed me 10 years ago, am I the only one? If it was a dude only contest, maybe I wouldn’t be so turned off. But these kooks got booked for the women comp???

I’m fine, I’m not OK as a previous concert photographer and video, seeing acts completely just assault security at a venue they were hired to play at. This is a music festival by the way. Maybe they’ve turned it around, but this is a tough look. If I’m ever correctly, they were more or less inciting a riot.

Apologies my last attempt was a mess haha. If the community approved of this, right on. I’ll let it go.

Personally, I think Jonah Hill would like to have a word with these boys 😂

All jokes aside, this is a terrible act to begin with, I mean God they were terrible like 10 years ago. And you combine that with their PR for a women’s Surf event.

As your resident lifelong marketer and PR guy, I’m no expert, but this is a worst-case look from a PR PERSPECTIVE.

When I was trying to say my last post was, this is a big-time fall from grace from Smash Mouth. I mean, just book Switchfoot lol.

Did Race B become Forza again or what?

I’ve never seen so many people just blatantly try to wreck instead of race. What is your experience in the C and above lobbies?

I’m D/S should we at least hope having an S but prevent some of this but here we are.

EDIT: the people have spoken, Race B is, indeed, cooked. Give us back 24 Le Mans….

Campfire Restaurant: any stories?

Has anyone else had issues with management here? We had a family dinner this weekend, my third time returning and with different family. I raised a concern privately about a disturbance, escalating through each chain, and was surprised when management confronted us publicly at the table. Curious if others have had similar experiences.

Tl;dr kids from the bar next door were unsupervised, doing kids stuff, and it got loud. I didn’t torch kids, just asked to move, and def was not stoked, but did it in private, and was berated by management in front of visiting family before offering to move me.

Bummer, loved their food. But the stains on the seats are tough to overlook.
