I think a good activity to have in this subreddit would be a weekly post of a single card, pointed or unpointed, with the express purpose of discussing what you think the point value of it should be. I am not consistent enough in posting to undertake this endeavor.

Edit: they would post a single card, like charge of the light brigade, and people could discuss the merits and challenges of its point allotment.

There's not much to add to the title. Deck building is incredibly fun, but trying to take a deck to any event or even play online just goes up against a turn 1 unbreakable or ftk.

The main thing to add is that this game was probably only fun at the beginning due to the lack of meta, which meant decks weren't as strong. Meta is developing and turning this mode more and more into advanced. You don't even need to add lyte anymore.

This probably isn't ground breaking by 2026 modern standards, but if you go into rage rose witch, you can send Bramble rose dragon and Naturia camelia. Activate bramble rose to ss camelia from gy. Activate camelia to send naturia sacred tree. Naturia sacred tree searches naturia bamboo shoot. Tribute summon bamboo shoot with naturia camelia. Hoping to get bamboo shoot updated to 100 points as my mark on the list.

3 bricks, 2 extra deck slots is the whole package.

If you can make a level 7 as well then you can use circle of the fairies to get an extra normal summon.

I use this in my genesys rose dragon deck which require 1-2 discards making the bricks negligible.

What do we think about Instant Fusion? Does it deserve 100 points? I think 30 would be more reasonable, and I dont think it would see play until ~20. I think it has fun applications/utility for some random decks. Ninjas could use it as a starter or a board breaker.

so often it just feels like a dice roll whether or not a tornado spawns on you, rips you out of the crack then flings you directly into a cactus for an instant kill. IDK, im all for difficult climbs (i love roots), but the tornados just feel like an unpredictable dice roll that arent fun. They can be funny but you just have to accept you dont get to climb that run.

I was wondering if anybody knew if the packs inside of the 2003 collectors tin joey and jinzo were 1st ed boosters or unlimited?

I know you cant ss them, but are you still able to choose them as a legal target? Do they go to the gy or stay banished?

Like lets say can i activate the destruction effect of Basal Rose Shoot to target a banished bramble rose dragon (that wasnt properly summoned first)? If i can would it got too the gy or stay banished?

If this Set card is destroyed: You can target 1 of your "Black Rose Dragon", or 1 monster that mentions it, that is banished or in your GY; Special Summon it. The thing thats confusing things for me is shinobird. The 2 little ones special summon themselves from banish during the standby phase. However, if they werent properly summoned first, then they just go to the gy instead. they activate, but do nothing and stay banished.

My guess as to why they might be an exception is because its a mandatory effect?

I love skull servants and trains, but I honestly don't like otk decks. Go figure..... I like that branded had 2 ways you could play it now with synchro/ fusion. I'd love more of this for other decks. I'm not sure what skull servant could do if not otk, but w/e. Do fans like when a deck gets reinvented?
