How often do you find yourself stunned by their looks?

I am totally in love with my girl. A minute ago I stopped dead in tracks and was stunned by how beautiful she is. Does this happen to you?

How many of us got into sword like sports because of Highlander?

I'm wondering how many of you got into sports or martial arts with swords because of Highlander? Maybe historical reinacting?

I got into fencing (Epee) for several years then Kendo for a short time (I loved Kendo but work got in the way). My love for swords because of Highlander was a major reason for this.

I'd love to hear some stories.

Anyone else notice how he refused to leave the stage at World Cup?

Trump, along with the FIFA President, handed the trophy to Spain. That a-hole then refused to leave the stage for a while. He was in their photo shot as they celebrated. He just couldn't not be the center of attention. God i hate that man!!!

My dinner for the next few nights

Had to cook these before they went bad. Air fried. Olive oil, garlic powder and flour mix. Will dip in BWs sauce and serve with blue cheese.

Who Wants to Live Forever is a deeply meaningful and inspirational song. Life changing even. Anyone agree?

So we all know that the soundtrack for the original movie is amazing. Queen did an absolutely incredible job. It is "Who Wants to Live Forever" that has always stuck out to me. It's been inspirational and calming song since I was a kid (I'm 47). I find it deeply meaningful on many levels. Are any of you also as touched by this song?

Am I the only one that doesn't like the beach scene in the 1st movie?

I love the original movie. Seen it countless times. The one scene I think is too cheesy is the one with Connor and Ramirez on the beach. That whole quickening with the stag. I think it takes away from an otherwise great film. Thoughts?

Ok: judge me!

Electric smoker. Pecan chips. Montréal rub. Had to cut it to fit it the smoker. Took 13 hours from start to serve. 1st time smoking one.

I'm over all pleased but I did over do it on the rub. The bark, while nice, is way to salty. It's nice and moist.

Ok: judge my work.

Smoking a brisket for the 4th: what should smoke with? How long will it absorb smoke?

I bought a 12lb brisket to start smoking Friday. What kind of wood should I use? I'm using an electric smoker.

How long will the meat absorb the smoke? I understand at a certain point it's not really worth using chips. I'm wondering if I should start mid day, smoke until a certain point, then just let it slow cook until the next morning (check on it in the middle of the night). I've done brisket in the oven before with mixed results.

Thanks for the tips and I'll keep you posted!

Are Hooters wings worth a short trip for?

I'm a wing hawk. I could write a guide to wings in my immediate area. Recently I've been thinking about making a 45 minute drive to the closest Hooters. It's been at least 8 years since I last went. I recall loving the way they fry them and the wings being rather large. But I seem to recall the flavors being rather unremarkable. Are Hooters wings worth a hour drive?

Just so you know my tastes, I love Mango Habanero sauce from BWs and can handle just about anything as far as heat goes.

Thanks for your advice.

Ran into an old coworker who is now a CO and I have a question.

I hope this is an OK post. I ran into an old coworker today who left my organization to become a corrections officer at a local jail about a year ago. I asked him how his new job was and he said the money was good and he thought he was doing an ok job. I was kinda surprised. He was always a happy and upbeat guy but he wasn't today. I got the feeling he isn't loving it. Still a great dude but he wasn't the same. Do you guys enjoy your jobs ? Is this to be expected from someone who is new? I'm just curious. Hope i used the correct terms. Thank you.
