Putting all the effort in, I’m tired and it’s making me depressed
My internet friend of 10 years (we first met
4 years ago and then 2 times after that) hasn't been replying to my messages. I understand everyone doesn't need to
access to people 24/7 and have their own lives but I'll explain.
I'm trying to plan a trip to London (she's from up north) and to book a hotel as soon as so we can get it cheap because it's a while away. It's for a show mostly but then to meet up with another friend in London and go to museums and just hang out etc.
I have ADHD (combined type) and suspected autism and she's also got both I think (she's definitely autistic as she's told me) and I've explained to her that I like to have a structured plan and gave her a deadline to let me know and me and my mum will just go together for the night then come back home (we have animals so we can't be gone overnight)
She's currently pregnant with her second child and is mostly a full time carer for her non-verbal autistic child (she worked weekends when she wasn't on maternity
leave).
Part of me wants to keep trying and knows we're still friends but part of me wants to say "screw it" and throw out friendship
away.
I've always been the friend to reach out and make plans and I was a people pleaser.
This one friend in secondary school would forget to set an alarm, not wake up to an alarm or just not reply to my messages asking where she is, this happened more times then I can count.
Then a friend from a support group I was planning to meet up with but I couldn't meet up in town but said I can only meet halfway and I can't remember most of the convo as I've blocked it out but basically it ended with him saying "you're so rude, no wonder you haven't got any friends"
I guess this is part of the reason why I'm feeling this way- triggered. Upset. My inner child hurting etc
My last message to her was "I know you've got a lot going on but just tell me if you don't want to be friends anymore"
