Uber driver Mirvan Dinler pleads no contest to the rape of an intoxicated Villanova student.

Dinler picked up the victim from partying and got angry she threw up in his car. He then followed her back to her room and raped her. He then returned and demanded the victim Venmo him money for throwing up in his car.

His lawyer initially tried to argue on the defense that she called her friends about the situation before calling the police, but ultimately pleaded no contest after DNA evidence put him in a no-win situation.

Sentencing is scheduled for October.

Recursion was probably too early

I don't think Recursion got much benefit from AI, at least the ML-oriented AI they started with. Their pipeline is unremarkable. Now that LLM-oriented AI could help accelerate drug development, they no longer have any first mover advantage.

Why should I tell my daughter to save money from her job if FAFSA is just going to assess it at a higher rate (20%) than my own money (5.64%)?

Is it possible my vet tech is just not very good with cats?

Had two visits with two different cats where the technician was unable to do blood draws and sent us home with gabapentin to sedate our cats for a follow up.

They seem ok with our dogs.

If the Berkeley pit is so bad why aren't house prices depressed near it?

I'm not seeing a big drop off in price per sqft as you get closer to this arsenic laden hole.
