Alphabet soup.

Alphabet soup.

I've just finished reading the ' Alphabet squadron ', and, I'll be honest, I didn't really enjoy it.

I know many will not share the same opinion, but I'm just being honest.

I didn't like the slow pacing and writing style. I know it's supposed to be that way to allow the characters to share their stories and breathe, but it just wasn't for me.

I have the trilogy, but I'm quite reluctant to start the second novel.

Sorry to all the fans of this one.

Morning run 🌞

Some photographs from my run, this morning.

(Somerset, UK)

Fields, holloways, sheep, Arthur C Clarkes childhood home, a quick tree hug and some handy natural sugar hits (Blackberrys)

A huge loss

Twelve (!) years ago, today, we lost this great man.

A true comedic and acting powerhouse of energy.

5am movie

I've just watched this movie ( yes, at 5am, blame my circadian rhythm).

It had mixed reviews, but IMO, I thought it was good.

It covers, love, loss, abandonment, post natal depression and mental health. A heavy mix, and Jennifer Lawrence does an amazing job portraying all of these emotions.

Pit stop...

A quick pitstop, at Cedrics, this afternoon.

Homemade pastry and flapjack. A real taste of Somerset 😋

Alphabet squadron. Day one.

Just purchased this. I've heard good things.

I tried to read Thrawn - Heir to the empire, but couldn't get into it, or get invested in it. I have up two hundred pages in. (I hate to give up on a book, but I just wasn't engaging with it)

Live music in the shire!

An evening with Jack bessant (from the band Reef).

Music and stories, at The bridge bakery Langport.

A great, low key evening, in the shire.

Perfect days.

Just had a rewatch of this.

A nice observation of the beauty and solace in the simple things in life.

One can find peace if one slows down and takes a moment.

I'm a fan of the movie, yet many of my friends are not even aware of it.

" you're getting old John.."

Happy birthday to, the living legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Born this day 1947.

A true icon.

" Nice day for a walk .. "

A nineteen year old Arnold, walking the streets of Munich, in 1967.

Practicing the terminator arrival scene before it was even written.

THAT'S how good Arnold is. Legend.
