Surplus less lethal 870. Should I chop the barrel to 14”?

I have this 870 that used to be a less lethal police gun. It runs perfectly fine but it’s pretty beat up. I’ve been really wanting a pump SBS and I feel like this could be a fun one. Should I just chop the barrel or are 14” 870 barrels around for reasonable prices?

I’ve been on 1.5mg per week of tirz and want to try Reta for a while. Can I just not take tirz one week and start Reta or do I need to wait a couple weeks tor the tirz to be fully out of my system?
