Chevy vans

Don't normally buy two of anything but sell these two Chevy vans at Walmart and I had to get both. I love the new Chevy van casting that M2 has been slowly trickling out. I only have I think a yellow one and Coca-Cola one besides this. I'm not as big of a fan of the rims, but still, it's a nice van model. Also the shelf was loaded with a bunch of other M2 pieces. They had probably six or seven of the Dodge 150 pickup and of course a bunch of those weird camouflage Dodge charger gassers that nobody seems to want.

The Dodge power wagon hauler set is great.

I really love the hauler set. When I saw it in store I knew I just had to pick it up. The green color on the truck really spoke to me and the color on the Challenger matching it it's just perfect. I think it's a metal flake. The combo with the trailer is nice because sometimes I've noticed that M2 does weird stuff like when they did a two pack with a Dodge truck and I want to say Super Bee in Sprite colors. It didn't include a trailer which is why I refused to buy it. You're basically paying $25 for two cars in a hauler package. I mean I guess it's about the usual price for two Coke pieces but it's really annoying that they cost more for just graphics. But yeah this set looked really good and I just had to have it. As for the Datsun above it also looks good. Can't wait to get some regular colors for those models.

New additions to the collection including my first Chase M2.

Was at Walmart and I got a couple of dodges then made my way to other stores including hobby lobby and didn't get anything else until going to a Target that was halfway towards where I live. It was a really lucky stop. They only had one item on the shelf, and because I didn't see anything else I assumed it wasn't an inventory and went to scan the casting. Because I did I was able to see that they were supposed to have inventory in the back and lo and behold the chase model was apparently hanging out in the back stock room. Needless to say I wasn't expecting today to happen and it did. I woke up this morning feeling very sad about a life event that happened a while back but this made my day well worth it.

Local nesting spot.

Saw this little cutie in their nesting spot underneath a train platform on an elevated light rail track. The little fella was initially hanging out on the stairs, under the railing on the ledge of the stairwell before it was flying into this spot. I had played some bird sounds and I don't know if maybe it thought there was another bird. I was really hopeful to at least get get to come towards my hands so I can see why it was hiding like it was hurt or something. Didn't see anything wrong with it maybe it was just taking a break resting in a quiet place that normally doesn't have many people. This particular station usually is very empty.

metro has apparently chosen the hybrid alignment, despite previously talking about the hawthorne blvd alignment.

metro is apparently still moving toward the K line hybrid alignment. this is good news for those of us who were worried about metro choosing the Hawthorne Blvd. alignment.

E line W/B delay right now.

There will be a delay approaching the Culver City station because of a medical emergency on the Westbound train. They're also going to be single tracking on the eastbound platform.

Finally scored this Renault

This is the new collection Renault R8 Gordini. It's one hell of a beautiful casting. Looks like this newest wave is finally dropping at Target. Can't wait to see what the rest of the 2026 releases will be. I think we've only got six more that we haven't seen yet. I'm assuming this will be one to get a second color.

E line is a mess right now.

Due to medical emergency at the La Brea station the trains are experiencing delays. Trains are also single tracking. Was here at the E line station and the crowd was absolutely loaded up. The platform probably had about 300 people on it. I should have taken a picture but it was so crowded I didn't really want to bother. Also the operator of the train and the ambassadors were having some beef because the ambassadors wanted information about what was going on in the operator didn't want to talk to them or something. It's really unfortunate that this had to happen at 7:00 a.m. I've heard that shuttle buses are being used from La Brea but now it seems like there's trains headed to Santa Monica.

Absolute perfection

Was having some in and out yesterday and I had the perfect dumb. I don't think I've seen one quite this perfect ever. It looked better when I first saw it I was checking to see if it had both patties but man it was like I had got a Krabby Patty IRL.

So this is probably the one piece in my diecast collection I would never part with. It's my one and only code 3 collectibles Crown fire coach. It's LA City engine 18. For me, it really sucks that there's no diecast brand like code 3 on the market right now. I hold out some hope that in the future perhaps green light will get courageous enough to fill in the hole that code 3 has left behind but I know how hard it is to convince diecast companies to make anything that's not conventional diecast in true 1/64. I will say that having a fire and rescue series does provide me quite a bit of hope. But given that we've gone five waves already and no fire engine announcement it's kind of disappointing. Anyway I really love this model and it survived a fire so for me it's very special. That said I'm curious what your personal favorites are. Do you have one diecast that you never wish to part with?

I was as shocked as ever to find actual Nike jersey at ross. It was $40. Just sharing here because I know a lot of us want to support the team, but are on a budget. Hope this helps some of you out who we're looking to get jerseys but don't want to spend the insane sports store prices.
