Our neighbourhood fox is back after being gone for a week! [Toronto, Ontario]
Ulrich is here!!
He's so floppy and soft!! My wallet is seriously hurting but I think he is much cuter and better made than some of the more recent releases at the same price point. Great size too for cuddling!
Mattress topper for side sleeper with low budget
I'm about 125 lbs, located in Canada, and have been experiencing shoulder pain from side sleeping on my relatively firm mattress. I have recently purchased a cheap Amazon foam mattress topper, but now I wake up with lower back pain as I think the topper is too soft with little support.
I'm looking for a soft mattress topper with good support, preferably in Canada, under $500 and with a good return policy.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
August Trip Planning - Ideas Needed
We are a family of four (with two kids ages 7 and 10) and will be traveling to eastern Canada for the first time! So far, I have planned for 5 days in Cape Breton and 3 days in Halifax, before driving to Moncton.
We potentially have one to two more nights that we can spend in Nova Scotia before heading to New Brunswick. Any suggestions on where we can go?
I'm thinking:
- one more night in Halifax, or
- one night in Lunenburg, or
- one night in Truro
We prefer somewhere with cool boutiques, tours or experiences as the kids are not too into hiking or doing purely sight seeing stuff.
Thanks in advance!
3 days in Cape Breton - how to optimize?
We are a family of 4 with two kids (7 and 10) and will be arriving from Quebec to Cape Breton on August 23rd. We will spend three nights here before driving to Halifax.
So far, we have booked a puffin island tour on August 24th (1:30 pm) and I'm struggling to plan the rest of my time here.
Here are the things we want to do:
- Baddeck (bell museum and ceilidh music performance in the evening)
- Cabot trail
- Eskoni journey
- Sydney
I was going to spend all three nights in Sydney, but after some thoughts, think that perhaps Baddeck is a better choice. Or should I spend two nights in Baddeck, then one night somewhere along the Cabot Trail?
Any recommendations on how I can make this work in the limited time I have? Anything else we should check out?
Where to watch Canada vs Switzerland today?
Have the day off work and would like to go to a fun venue to watch this game, any suggestions?
Is anyone having both fatigue and restlessness?
I started taking 10 mg in the morning (7 am) but was having severe fatigue by late afternoon. After several days of this, with advice from my doctor, I have switched to taking it later in the evening (7-9 pm), but this seems to have caused restlessness at night and I have had a hard time falling asleep. Today, I woke up feeling like my brain is very wired and almost like it's "fried", like a heaviness that is not the typical tiredness you feel from a sleepiness night. It's a weird sensation.
Has anyone experienced this dual effect of fatigue and restlessness from this medication? If so, what time has worked best for you in the initial weeks?
Any full grown adults (30+) still obsessed with toys and plushies? Is this a coping mechanism after growing up with Asian parents?
Any psychological explanation behind full grown adults like myself still being absolutely obsessed with plushies, pokemon, video games, etc.? Is it because I was denied these pleasures as a child, or that I was rewarded with them only after getting good grades, or perhaps toys were how my parents expressed approval or even love towards me? What missing pieces are we trying to fill? I buy them obsessively to cope with everyday stress, but I feel like they calm my inner child that has never stopped craving for approval and comfort.
Does my Fancy Carp look weird?
Just got this guy today. Is he supposed to have this lump on the head? The lips also seem super huge? 🥺
Recommendations for my 6 year old and me
My son and I have similar tastes in video games. I've just beaten Nine Sols on standard mode, gotten 100% completion on Silksong, and about halfway through Hollow Knight. My son is good for his age. He finished Nine Sols on story mode, and has beaten a few early Silksong bosses all on his own. He also loves exploring and farming for money. We've also tried Ori but didnt love it as much as the other three.

I'm looking for something that is similar but preferably has difficulty settings if they're as difficult as SS or NS. We play on the Switch and PS5.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for something similar to Animal Crossing and Pokopia but not on Nintendo
This is for my daughter whose Nintendo Switch has unfortuantely broken and we won't be able to replace it at this time. She's looking for something similar to Animal Crossing and Pokopia to play on the laptop or on her dad's PS5. Stuff that she likes include:
- Cute animals/creatures
- Her character must also look cute
- Ability to customize her character's look and clothings
- Ability to purchase or unlock new pets, furniture, accessories etc.
- No fighting
- Ability to build, decorate, do fun challenges, and collect items
We have already looked at recommendations like Cozy Grove and Coral Island and she isn't interested from the trailers.
Do non-Nintendo games like this exist?
Did I come here too early? What do I need to break the tree stumps?
How do I access this chest in Tiandao Research?
This is the absolute last item that I'm missing according to my map. How do I get to the other side?
