Feedback on ideas from buyers/sellers (carnivorous plants)

Hi Everyone, let me start out by saying I am not a seller just yet. But am wanting to sell in the next few months—Pinguiculas mostly and maybe droseras sometimes. but I do have some alocasias that corm and produce pups I don’t mind offering out as well here n there.

I made a post recently but I thought I’d make a new one that is more specific on a few things and would like to know what you all think. If you don’t mind adding any input or answer any of the questions below. Thank you!

Also! Let me know if you are interested in this market so I can gauge an idea of quantity to buy/grow out a bit before beginning to sell. I’m not sure if there is a lot of people into this category of plants. But I would love to share them with others.

Live Streams

I would like to stream possibly once a week or biweekly depending on how many people are into this niche plant market. If there is enough people from the get go, even maybe up to 2x a week and will always consider more. Possibly 1-3hrs per live.

1q. Do people like to see set times that are on a regular basis or do people like to see lives at different varying times.

(Yes we all have lives that may revolve around school, work, family and just activities of daily living and I understand that)

Live Auctions/ Buy Now

I love to see inventory in the auction/buy now so I can be concise on my budget when buying. I know some people just auction one thing at a time and add it as they go but that doesn’t always help when making plant decisions.

2q. Any preference on what you like see regarding knowing what’s for sale that stream?

3q. For people whom are new do I offer to sell soil/substrate mixes and potentially pots?

4q. How do we feel about buying what you see vs growers choice?

5q. Would you prefer to buy pings that are sunstressed (colored) or it doesn’t matter knowing with the right lights they will stress eventually?

Giveaways!

alright the part we all love. Personally I love plants for giveaways. But I’m open to ideas. I see people throw in free shipping, discount codes, nick-nacks, plant related items (soil, cups, watering bottles). Most importantly plants, so for me it would be Pinguiculas. Pings I might do 15-30minute intervals. Not sure if I want to do buyers givvys but giveaways for everyone, the followers and bookmark options. We all have inner givvy goblin spirits lol

6q. What kind of giveaways do you prefer? With what requirements?

Shipping

Well this seems like an easier part possibly.
Pinguiculas would be shipped bare root.
Corms in moss (if sold)
Alocasia pups in their substrate possibly without their pots? Or in their pots idk about shipping that kind of plant when it comes to PS as I’ve sent things off of PPUSA on FB once.
Not sure about restrictions to Cali.
Not sure how Alaska and HI plants will do.

7q. Plants shipped out on Mondays/Tuesdays or day after lives? Offer upgrades of 2day and overnight?

If there is anything else to consider let me know.
Thank you again, for all for your time that you may have spent reading and replying.

what do you want from new sellers (niche plant species) ?

*what do you want to experience as a buyer*

I really want to become a PS seller for a specific species of plant and other random plants. I feel like finding sellers for this type of plant is a hit or miss.
I want to have fair prices for me and customers.
I want to sell things that will ship well.
(There is specifically one seller I watch to compare, and some things don’t look like they would survive shipping without melting)
(Same seller always says this goes for this price normally but I’m selling it for this)
I want to be professional, and not do a plant tour because the seller gets distracted esp when people want to buy things and go off topic and show a messy setup/room.
I don’t want to ramble, I don’t wanna talk politics, I don’t want to be annoying.
I just want to stay on topic and sell pretty plants that maybe need some time to look pretty again after stress of transit (I don’t want sell anything I would be unhappy about receiving though)
I’m not a huge fan of growers choice, and rather have customers choose what they buy.
I just don’t know how to approach something that is a niche market, and spend hundreds of dollars if I won’t get customers or meet people expectations.
I just want something formal, friendly, and straight to the point.
anyone have any tips of what you want to see from sellers?

I need Tips for ranking up in Gold

I mostly solo queue but sometimes play with my husband. I’m not a confident player. I try to go objective over kills. But what I notice is Gold feels different than copper-silver, not but much but still.
What can I do differently. I’m still playing the same way but it doesn’t seem to work most of the time—some people are smarter in these higher lobbies but doesn’t mean there is dummies who throw bodies and make a 4v2 a 1v2. Idk it’s frustrating. Lmk

Nutrient deficiency?

I have some alocasias which I don’t know the species, I am unsure if the yellowing is a deficiency or problem. I am only using GT focus every watering.

Tissue cultures in boxes?

Hi everyone. I’m stressing out thinking this setup will not work. Which honestly it might not. Does anyone have any insight on this topic? I might go back to individual cups but the acrylic boxes save a little space and easier for me to vent air to prevent mold.
The thing is—I put in a warm water at the bottom to jump the humidity up and it worked to raise it to 96%. Since then it has dropped to 93%. I added tape around the door hoping it will help raise it back up.
I forgot to mention if you’re even reading this—that it has only been an hour since potting and putting them into the acrylic box. I misted the sides and added the water tray hoping to reach 100% but in fact did not.

I need advice

long story short I recently put down my young soul dog.
I have neglected my plants off and on the last month. I water when i remember. I’m going to stay on top of it now—life goes on and doesn’t stop for anyone. Don’t want to lose my plants because I became lazy.
I’m wondering what I can do to help my plants push normal leaves. Some are growing slowly, some are coming out funky. I always use a dilute GT foliage fertilizer in distilled water. Please let me know any recipes to add; cal mag? Silica (idk what it does)? pH down?
Everyone is rooted in Fluval/perlite. Eventually potting into Pon or Lecca+Moss is the plan.
Here is their living arrangement;
14hrs of light a day (barina T5s)
70-75°F temp
50-70% humidity (low when lights are on—high when off)
Fertilizer in every watering (their reservoirs)
Not sure what else to add tbh

SIDENOTE: is the browning on my monstera Thai a bad thing? Leaves look great.

Mystery alocasia

Is there any reason why the leaf hasn’t turned green yet? Or does it take times. It’s been this color for 3 days

First time acclimating Tissue Cultures

Im worried that there isn’t enough humidity in their setups and but that they will also stay too moist. I’ve been reading more into how different people acclimate their TCs.
I feel like I messed up using diluted Clonex solution. in the water reservoirs and pre soaking the media 60/40 perlite fluval stratum in the solution.
I took my time washing them off, removing anything suspicious and soaking them in an dilution iodine solution.
Can anyone tell me what to do better next time?
These pictures are roughly 48hrs post deflasking.
They are under barina T5s, receiving 14hrs of light a day. 75° F inside the cabinet.
I’m just worried about this loss :’(. Either way I spent $15USD on 7 TCs

Tissue Culture Acclimation

Hello Everyone, I’m asking for any feedback regarding acclimating my TCs.
First timer here. Only spent $fifteen on these knowing I might lose them all. But hoping for the best.
Here is some questions I have

  1. Which setup should I go for? Shot glass or 5oz cup? (1/2 or 2/3 filled with substrate)
*some of the TCs look smaller than the others

  2. I have Clonex Nutrient Solution, do I water and fill reservoirs with 1:4 strength solution?

  3. Is 1:1 of fluval to perlite appropriate?

  4. Can I sanitize in diluted hydrogen then iodine solutions or is that overkill?

Alocasia Odora Decline?

Last Picture is how it used to look.
I’ve had this odora for ~2 months. I just finally gave it some diluted GT foliage fertilizer into the reservoir.
I am wondering if it is suffering from lack of nutrients, or if any one has any ideas why the color has faded and the leaves are drooping. This guy looks so sad and I don’t want to lose the whole plant. Can it bounce back at this stage?
I’m thinking of repotting it in a perlite/fluval mix or should I keep it in what I bought it in?
Any advice is appreciated.
Humidity at 70%
Temp 70 average
Under T5s for roughly 12hrs a day

I missed seige but forgot why I hated it.

I left seige a few months back for Arc Raiders, good game. Anyways I finally am back after rank 3.0 comes out, I’m okay with my placement rank (bronze VI), currently bronze III. It’s the same shit with people leaving matches the first time they’re killed first round, people throwing matches just fucking around (go on qp or standard), no communication until you do something wrong or die. So frustrating. I love this game—so many good comrades. But just as many poor comrades. I can deal with all the shit talking as a woman, but I am suffering trying to manage and work with a team whom is not on the same page nor using coms/pings. I’m peak silver III 2-3seasons ago and at this rate I will definitely never achieve that. My KD seems poor and so is my W/L.
@toognarlym on Xbox to look at stats. I suppose I give up early on matches that have no hope also. I just don’t like to abandon matches for the penalties.
Just a lil rant,
