A friendly visitor caught me recording
went to give my monstera a bath and this lil guy was enjoying hanging on a leaf, but then started to book it once I started taking video.

Captured my first moon photo thru my Dad’s telescope up in Lake Arrowhead, CA last weekend, Jun 21st. Just cleaned up a faint glare on the left, but other than that unedited, taken directly through the eyepiece.
Telescope: 8” Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain
Captured on my iPhone 17, ISO 125, 26mm, f1.6, 1/11s night mode exposure.

I listened to the single and my first thought was feeling happy for Phoebe she wrote a ‘bop’ relative to her style and she seems to be enjoying what she is creating. I remember she has said she gets tired of writing sad songs and melodies, which is why Kyoto turned out to sound the way it does (despite dark/sad lyrics). It’s nice to see her come out with this playful energy upon her return, she sounds like she’s having fun on the record. Also the music vid reminds me of her humor in the Kyoto video with the laser beam eyes, or how much fun she was having in the Silk Chiffon mv with Muna. like many fans I do enjoy her darker songs that give me emotional damage, but I love this joy from her to kick off her return and everything this era brings henceforth.
I‘m sorry if this is so off topic but just posting for fun. I just started playing Pokémon for the first time and chikorita gives matcha vibes. but if there we’re a matcha inspired Pokémon, I wonder what it would look like and what it would be called. maybe it’s a grass and water type called Matchatee, and with manatee features. 🌱
I potted this from propagated leaves for my sister, and it’s a pot from home depot that has a draining shelf(?) at the bottom. I have no idea how often she waters it, but suddenly I noticed these shroomies growing. is this harmful for pothos? is the plant now infested with fungus?
hi everyone! like the title says, I want to recreate the paint job my Dad did on his silver ‘55 Chevy in the 70’s (see second pic). the closest I could find is the one pictured here, but none that are entirely red.
I’ve seen tips on this sub about stripping paint and such, I don’t have an airbrush, but I can probably feel confident to spray paint. if I’m to do a partial repaint (painting the white part red like my Dad‘s), what sort of methods for protecting parts of the car I won’t paint (and around the tiny silver logo)? I will keep looking closely for recs in this sub, but any advice is appreciated! I want to do a good job since my dad had this car IRL and knows it well. Thanks!
hi! first time owner here, so please be kind. these orchids I got over a year ago as gifts from my mom’s celebration of life and I’ve been tending to them since. please ignore the fact that I need to water them, I will get them hydrated after this post! and I know one of my orchids looks like a hangman game, I didn’t know what I was doing quite frankly. I also think I had a couple incidents of letting the leaves too close to my water boiler, took some time to figure out. I’m learning everyday!
my orchids are growing a little big for their pots and tipping over, and I planned to replace the potting mix/chips soon, but don’t want to stress them out. I read that you don’t need to get a bigger pot, but I think my white one needs one. any tips are appreciated!
My sister has always struggled with feeling comfortable in clothes. Her opinions about her body and lack of confidence makes finding a style for personal expression difficult. even after coming out a couple years ago, she still can’t figure out what she feels she looks her best in.
dislikes: anything too frilly, feminine, or anything that makes her feel dainty and delicate. but she’s not entirely sold on a fully masc fashion look. nothing grabby, doesn’t want to show her arms or legs.
likes: she loves bright bold colors like orange, dark green, and teal. she saw my Aunt in her scrubs once and said she’d like to wear something like that XD her usual go-to is a t-shirt, jacket, jeans and vans.
she struggles a lot with professional settings and “dressy” occasions because she usually has to resort to something outside of her comfort zone to not look too casual. she doesn’t really wear makeup, and is pretty low-maintenance with her hair.
are there any girls out there that have suggestions on what kind of styles she can explore and what someone in her position might do for professional/formal occasions?
couple lattes I made recently! It’s been warm so I’ve been making them iced. here they look like half and half, but it’s 6oz of oat milk and 2 oz of water with matcha. sweetened with maple syrup.
