I have no idea what I am doing. Looking for a good parts kit for an ARM build on a Tort. Anyone have a good reccomendation?

There's a dozen or so on GB but I have no idea what I am looking for. The only thing is I want to eventually have a wooden handguard and carry handle. I can shell out for a new barrel or anything else if that is recommended. Anyone care to point me towards a good condition kit? Thanks!

ATF proposed change to allow virtual FFL transfers RIN 1140-AB05 / ATF-2026-0266

ATF has a proposed rule open for comment: RIN 1140-AB05 / ATF-2026-0266. It would modernize non-over-the-counter firearm transfers by allowing firearm purchases to be completed remotely through an FFL, while still keeping background checks, identity verification, and recordkeeping.

As many of you know, the process creates unnecessary burdens for law-abiding buyers, especially parents, military members with unusual schedules, shift workers, people with long commutes, and those who do not live close to an FFL. This is even worse in the 13 states plus D.C. with multi-day waiting periods, where buyers may need two separate trips just to complete one lawful transfer. This not only burdens buyers but sellers as well. I can tell you with 100% confidence that government agencies review each public comment made. Please do not take for granted the opportunity to write a supporting comment.

A comment can be made here:

https://www.regulations.gov/document/ATF-2026-0266-0001

Here is a draft supporting comment:

>I support ATF’s proposed rule, RIN 1140-AB05 / ATF-2026-0266. Current in-person requirements are unnecessarily burdensome for both buyers and sellers given today’s technology, security systems, and remote identity-verification options. This burden is even greater in the 13 states plus D.C. with multi-day waiting periods, where buyers may need two separate trips to complete one lawful transfer, causing more time off work, childcare issues, travel costs, and coordination burdens for both buyers and sellers. Requiring in-person presence for every transaction, when secure digital identity verification and background checks can accomplish the same safety goals remotely, creates a soft barrier to exercising a constitutional right

Comments are open until August 6, 2026 on Regulations.gov under ATF-2026-0266 / RIN 1140-AB05.

Fulton Thread Adapter (5/8-24) or Direct Thread Brake

Having a rifle built by Fulton and am torn between a standard size thread adapter at the muzzle or a direct threaded brake. I would prefer a thread adapter but I am worried adding the thread adapter and then a threaded muzzle device could create too much variance- or that the thread adapter may get out of whack over time. Compared to a directly threaded muzzle brake, which eliminates any potential out of spec and keeps it simple.

Any suggestions on which way to go?

Anyone running BUIS on their scout rail?

Wondering about flip up or offset BUIS if anyone runs them and any insight before I try out a few. I think I could get co-witness this way without relying on the standard sight

The greatest battle implement made even Greatester

I have no doubt Patton would approve, and so would gramps. I am working on a folding stock version to have all the utility of a cumbersome rifle but in a compact package

Looking for a beginner scenic truck trail near east county

Hi all. Looking for any recommendations for a beginner low complexity truck or 4wd trail that I can take my kids on for an hour or so, hopefully stop somewhere for lunch or get some nice views. I figured if I posted on an offroad sub I would get lit up or given recommendations for something intense.

This was real and not AI.

Someone made multiple bullpup style ones and had a website 20 years ago or so. There were worse ones but this is the only picture left from the site that is still floating around the internet.

So Sick. I think I need to put the hannibal rail back on.

I've owned EVERY Mini 14 stock (including the Troy) and this is THE best setup. Hush Holsters SKS adapter + Woox 1913 stock

Days Since home screen widget??

Hello. I am hoping to find a watch face design that has a days since widget in the tracker. Or maybe there is some way to tie this to fitbit or google calendar or something? I want to display how many days it has been since I have done something, right there on the watch face, just as a constant reminder. Rather than having to scroll to the app to pull it up. That would be fatastic. Thank you!
