i want to get into IT, and i’ve been researching all over this subreddit but i still don’t know where to start. i’ve read where people would get certs before starting BSIT, but i have absolutely no money out of pocket to pay for anything.
i spend half the week at my boyfriends house, and obviously i will not be taking my entire setup back and forth each week. when he is gaming, i want to scratch that itch too. i was wondering if there are any ways to play when away from home? i assume streaming would be the option, but im not sure where to get started on that. i was thinking of getting a portable monitor, but i would need something to run whatever streaming app, so maybe a android tablet. idk. if anyone’s got it figured out, tips would be appreciated.
i started grooming again a few weeks ago. some things are coming back naturally but others not so much. i think my haircuts are okay most of the time, some really good that im proud of, some i get disappointed by and hope the owners don’t hate me. i cannot for the life of me nail round faces anymore. yorkies skin terrifies me and ive never been good at grooming their faces, it always looks choppy or square ish. i also have found it harder to find matts on dogs at check in. i’ve also nicked two dogs in just a few weeks. i had nicked a few dogs before my hiatus as well which made my confidence plummet. honestly, before i took a break i only had about 8 months experience grooming, so getting back into it has been alittle nerve wracking. i never really had proper training. anyone else take a break for awhile and return? how do you regain confidence?
this is my bfs dog, he has a scraggly feeling coat, not really soft feeling. kind of reminds me of a terriers coat texture. his ears were shaved when he got him so idk if that throws things off or not. he got him from a rescue (thank god) and the rescue didn’t really have a background on him either. i’d say he has the poodle curls, so def poodle in the mix.
i’ve been on caplyta since the beginning of january, and this medicine is the only one i’ve tried that suppresses intense self harm and suicidal thoughts. i also feel like when im happy on this medicine, im really happy, not in a manic way tho. the only issue is ive noticed since starting it, is that i have these super intense feelings of guilt, even in just casual conversations ill feel really bad about myself, say i crack a joke and nobody laughs. my line of thinking is yup, everyone hates me and no wonder they do because i am a shitty person. everything leads back to “your a shitty person, this is why people don’t like you”. i have bpd so this is always a thing but it’s been more intense as of late.
i have also noticed that at first it seemed like i had no issues with irritability, but as time goes on its getting bad again. as of late, my overthinking has been off the charts.
i discussed this with my psychiatrist today, and she suggested stopping the caplyta for a week, and i refused. i feel like nothing good can come from stopping a antipsychotic suddenly? so we decided we would cut my dose in half, to 21mg from 42mg. has anyone else been advised to do this before? just worried about this process i guess. she worded it like she wants to narrow down if the caplyta is making me feel like this or not.
i dye my hair with perm. black dye and want to bleach my bangs, like a split dye. i’m concerned tho that since i dye my hair, that when i wash the black out, it will bleed onto the bleached hair. i know it was a issue when i would use semi perm. dye but idk if it’s a issue with the perm ones. i normally don’t have a issue with bleeding but my hair is currently all one solid color besides my blonde roots growing in lol. this is my inspo.
