I live in the rural English countryside, AMA

I live in a small, rural English village with a population of less than 100 people (we do have 600+ cows though!) which was on record in the Domesday book in 1086. I enjoy local history and have spent a lot of time researching it, we have a grand Manor House as well as a unique Norman stone church.

I’m based close to the centre of the country and I’m about as far as you can get from the coast. I would say I lead a quiet, rather traditional country lifestyle.

AMA about village life, rural England, traditions, farming culture, or anything else you’re curious about!

“The Lady Doth Protest Too Much.”

Fun fact: people had meetings for centuries without telling the world or making it seem like something shady.

Hi everyone,

We’re landing at Paris Beauvais Saturday afternoon and staying near Bercy metro station. We’re 4 adults, 4 kids (around 5 years old), plus a couple big suitcases.

Would you recommend taking the Beauvais shuttle into Paris (port maillot) first and then continuing from there by uber, or going directly from the airport by car/van/uber?

Trying to balance convenience with the kids and luggage vs. overall cost/stress but also avoid booking a ride pre-arriving and be stoop up..

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve done this route before, thanks!
