100€ Budget deck for CORI/ARCV deck upgrades
Long story short, I found out that there's an OTS for YGO where I'm going for vacation, and I gotta build a deck. I used to play DDD during BPRO and wanted to move to Predaplant for BLZD but that deck never flourished. Trains was my alternative but Noroi got banned 3 days after the set came out.
I already own all cheap staples, only missing the new, expensive ones like Crown, Accusation, Pot of Sloth etc. I was planning on White Forest Angelechy but that deck's kiiinda eh now. Is there anything Rogue-ish deck that can do well in an OTS in CORI format for about 100 euros budget? Apart from that, are the ARCV deck upgrades on that level? I already own the full Speedroid core, don't mind grabbing a couple Purges if it's good enough. Odd-Eyes seems lovely as well.
Should I kill myself?
I've been trying many different variations of Bait, with Ronin bait finally getting me to 14k. However, Ranked has been a slough. Despite reaching League 2, even getting my daily 4 wins done seems like a chore. Players play more defensive cards/defend better/cycle better. Atp I just queue to lose against decks with 2 splashers, 2 spells and one building, or cycle decks with cheap defenses and buildings. I want something that will make my time worth. I had some fun with Cart Ghost but it has fallen off since then.
(Character Design Trope) Umamusume from Umamusume: Pretty Derby
Characters depicted in order: 1. Buena Vista 2. Almond Eye 3. Smart Falcon 4. Tanino Gimlet 5. Epiphaneia. The real life counterparts are in the same order.
Each and every Umamusume is based on a real, historical racehorse, and their behaviours (sometimes even the jockeys' or trainers') are depicted on the Uma. They have horse ears (which operate like a horses) as well as a tail (which operates quite differently to a real horse's but the comedic effect is worth it). There are some design elements which also refer to the real horse, either for all Umamusume or specific ones.
One such detail is the asymmetric accessories Umamusume wear, most commonly, ear pieces/details, which is an indicator for the real horse's gender. Right ear for stallion and left ear for mare.
The physical build of each Umamusume is based on the respective real life horse. If the real horse was big, the Umamusume will be tall. If they had large chest muscles, the Umamusume will have a large chest as well (Exceptions may apply in some cases, like Mejiro McQueen).
Most Umamusume wear heels with horseshoes under them in order to mirror a real horse's hoof, and the shape and angle for each Umamusume are based on the respective real horse's. For example, Smart Falcon (see slide 3.) wears Sneakers because his hooves were quite flat (and also because he mostly raced on dirt).
Umamusume may wear mismatched colour gloves/shoes, which shows that the real horse has different coloured hooves (see slide 5.)
Umamusume may also wear ear covers. This means that the horse wore a mask during their racing days. Buena Vista (see slides 1+6.) is one example, but Almond Eye (see slide 2.), who also wore a mask has her ears completely uncovered. Other Umamusume, like Ikuno Dictus, wear glasses to portray the real horse's mask (The one Umamusume who does wear a mask, El Condor Pasa, didn't wear one while racing irl).
Regarding Almond Eye, she wore a shadow roll, which is a piece of fabric that blocks part of the horse's vision so that it can't see and be spooked by their own or other horses' shadows. Almond Eye has a neckpiece that looks like a shadow roll, and most Umamusume whose real life counterpart wore one will have a similar accessory.
The hair colour of each Umamusume is usually based on the real horse's coat colour: Bay, Dark Bay, Gray, Chestnut, Black, and White (the only white-haired Umamusume is the NPC Happy Meek, who is entirely fictional). Exceptions do apply, as with Haru Urara and Twin Turbo whose hair colour is based on the masks the real horses wore.
The real horses' facial blaze patterns are usually depicted in the Umamusume's hair, like Buena Vista and Almond Eye (see slides 1,2,6 and 7.), but they may be skipped altogether, like Smart Falcon (see slides 3 and 8.)
Umamusume who have an accessory wrapped around an arm/leg means that the real life horse sustained an injury in that limb. Smart Falcon (see slide 3.) wears a garter on her left leg as the real Smart Falcon sustained tenosynovitis on his left hock.
The outfits of each Umamusume usually contain the pattern of their jockey's silks. One such example is the pattern and colours of Smart Falcon's (see slides 3/8.) dress which are based on owner Toru Okawa's racing silks.
Lastly, other design details might be specific to certain Umamusume only.
For example, Almond Eye (see slide 2.) has 9 stars, 5 blue and 4 pink in her irises. The real Almond Eye won 9 Grade 1 Races, 5 mixed and 4 filly/mare races. Tanino Gimlet (see slides 4 and 9.) wears an eye patch because the real Tanino Gimlet has a lazy left eye which looks quite menacing. Uma Tanino Gimlet wears the eye patch on her right eye, in order to show only her menacing left. Buena Vista (see slide 1.) wears black and yellow checkered details because the real Buena Vista had bridles of the same colour.
I finally reached 14k with this deck! Should I try grinding Ranked or Seasonal Arenas? And if so, should I make any changes to the deck?
Look what I'm losing to. Is this fair to you? How are beatdown decks that get a good hand and win with overtuned cards allowed to exist?
I'm trying to push to 14k but I lose to stupid shit that highrolls because an Evo MK needs 15 elixir to be put down, despite me running Ronin, its supposed counter. Nice! I totally don't hate myself right now!
Making a Ronin deck for his training challenge, these are my card levels
Looking for personalized advice.
Hello, I'm making this post in order to find ways to improve as a player. I'm a peak Diamond 4 player, and I play Jungle/Support, but I can play any role no problem. Recently, I've been in a slump (did promos all the way to Plat then stopped) and with Riot bringing back Ranked 5s I want to fix my mistakes in order to perform better. I have a wide champion pool (fear it's too wide) and mostly play champions with a facilitating playstyle like Alistar, Rek'sai, Xin Zhao, Bel'veth etc. It works for me, especially in Clash where I have won a lot of games by making plays alongside my team, such as coordinated dives and counter ganks.
However, I haven't played Ranked in weeks, as my last game I completely lost control of the jungle tempo as Rek'Sai, which led me to going further and further behind and getting absolutely mowed down by a Hecarim. It's been all ARAMs ever since, as I hate playing like garbage and setting my team back.
Apart from falling completely behind, I feel like I can't keep a steady champion pool. There's been sessions where I never play the same champion twice, and even switch roles amidst games (I tried queueing fill but after getting stomped in the top lane by someone who had more matchup knowledge than me, I said never again). Also, I tunnel vision into certain (usually safe) game plans and never go for risky plays. Invades/lost lanes really fuck me up for example. I know that I'm not a good player and that I need to work hard but I don't mind.
Did you know that a lot of the art that appears in the game's support cards is based on moments from the respective real horses' careers?
There's many more as well, such as Rudolf holding a finger up, which the way Yukio Okabe (real Rudolf's jockey, the guy with the book) used to celebrate right after winning and Neo Universe in the rain which references the moment after he won the Satsuki Sho, with jockey Demuro hugging NeoUni, both soaked by the drizzle that occurred that day. Which one is your favourite?
Should I uninstall?
I'm hardstuck at 13k and can't even win to get my daily chests. I'm at 1-6 just today. Maybe I just don't deserve to play the game.
Η Ισλανδία έχει έναν πολύ μικρό πληθυσμό ατόμων με σύνδρομο Ντάουν και άλλων γενετήσιων ανωμαλιών που μπορούν να ανιχνευθούν κατά την εγκυμοσύνη, καθώς εδώ και πολλά χρόνια συνηθίζεται να τερματίζονται πρόωρα τέτοιες εγκυμοσύνες. Τι πιστεύετε για αυτό; Θα θέλατε να γινόταν και στην Ελλάδα;
I find it funny how all these changes have brought us back to the same problems
Got Darius in Mayhem, and I got the dash augment on my Q, then spin to win. Pretty funny build, but I lost to a Mel with Infernal conduit and a Caitlyn with Scopiest and Scoped Weapons. Why is this still a thing? Those (arguably problematic) augments and builds have been in the mode ever since its inception and have been met with countless critiques. We wanted more chaos, more uniqueness and more fun. Why is the choice between: "+stats/damage, check everyone out of the game" or "build something unique and lose"?
What do you think of Turn Rates being added to ARAM?
Dota has a mechanic called "Turn Rates" which makes a hero unable to do 180 degree turns out of nowhere, and it hampers kiting a lot. With all the discourse about ranged champions in ARAM, do you think a similar mechanic would fix the ranged problem?
Does anyone else have FPS drops after second guest phase?
It only happens in Arena, consistently during this specific event. I can play Aram/SR no problem. After the Guest is chosen, my FPS drops to single-digit numbers and takes a whole round to climb back up. I lowk don't want to play arena just because of this bullshit.
Deck advice
I've been playing this and it got me all the way from 11k to 13.5k and Ranked. I wanna know if there's any options out there I should consider in order to be more successful in Ranked and push for higher Leagues
