Any country/ Dr. recommendations for going outside U.S. ?

I am U.S. based and want to avoid the $15k fee.

Thailand caught my eye because it’s Western-standard medical care and about 10% of the cost (not including the travel expenses of course) but even if I knew which country was best, I still wouldn’t know who to talk to.

And maybe there is a better country/ method for this - open to suggestions.

Would prefer anesthesia but if you think the travel expenses makes it not worth it, I’ll just white knuckle it like I did during the initial vasectomy (and yes it sucked but saved serious cash).

Vasectomy reversal Q: Guys who went out of country (from U.S.) for an affordable yet still quality procedure and care, where did you go?

I am U.S. based and want to avoid the $15k fee.

Thailand caught my eye because it’s Western-standard medical care and about 10% of the cost (not including the travel expenses of course) but even if I knew which country is best, I still wouldn’t know who to talk to.

And maybe there is a better country/ method for this - open to suggestions.

Would prefer anesthesia but if you think the travel expenses makes it not worth it, I’ll just white knuckle it like I did during the initial vasectomy (and yes it sucked but saved a few grand).

Basically, what the heck do I do? (And yes, with this question I am trusting complete strangers with my lineage and man parts)

For the teens and underaged: 1) Vasectomy reversal eligibility isn’t the issue, I’m looking for suggestions and free education from wise and experienced individuals (not that teens can’t be both) 2) why are you even on this post in the first place

Looking for Co-Founder/ teammate. CAD/ mechanical engineer preferred

My client capacity is starting to overflow and need to offload some work. Additionally, just need someone to tackle projects with and just build together with.

I have a BS in mechanical engineering technology, 10 years of professional experience under my belt, registered company, website, and 4 very active clients with interested ones messaging weekly.

I have 1 product so far in development.

Open to new ideas and workflow adjustments as needed.

Right now I have a few apps and sprouting seed/ Ai LLM software for a certain kind of agent.

Just need someone reliable really but innovation and drive is always a huge plus.

Connect if interested!

Would need 5 hours of commitment weekly right now but that’s changing fast (possibly 10-20 if these client meetings yield this week).

So tired of MIL crying wolf for attention and all the bs

She complains about random crap hurting or dizziness and begs to go to the hospital every 2-3 months. Meanwhile she’s diabetic and goes through 2 of the 24 pack of pop every week.

One time she did have a kidney stone and doctor told her to drink water instead of pop. She listened. Then 1 month later, she’s back on the pop.

She’s so lazy I can’t EVEN… She hasn’t showered in like 2 months and insists on having the dog down there with her but doesn’t let it out to the bathroom so it’s just making her living area disgusting.

I’m between jobs/ trying to make income where I can so even if I wanted her to move out (oh yeah she lives in our basement) we couldn’t afford the full monthly housing cost.

Feel trapped. I know life could be worse but this is definitely a thorn in my side.

$2100 in auto parts, selling for $300 - where to sell?

Originally listed at $1k for a week, dropped the price to $300 for a couple days. No offers

Not messing with individual eBay listings, would rather sell in bulk to an auto repair shop or pawn shop. The listing has the vehicle compatibility info per part and offers each item sold separately or as a lot.

What would you do to get rid of it? Is individual listings the way to go? This is my first real listing.

So… Yeah. Idk where to start, but I could use symbiotic human connection.

Been a rough patch recently. Feels like everyone has retreated when I hit this wall in my life. Probably just emotions bottling up honestly.

I used to do therapy - weekly counseling - but being unemployed now I can’t afford it anymore.

Made a series of mistakes, now I’m just stressing myself out. Like it’s not even the end of the world, but overthinking everything has me in a whirlwind of back and forth and uncertainty.

Just to be clear, I’m not looking to be rescued. I just want mutual room to speak openly and honestly with someone. A judgement free zone, but honesty even if the truth is hard to hear.

Stay strong y’all.

Drove 8 hours for this FB MP deal: $525, normally $1300; slowly building when opportunities come up… Trying to build a (reasonably) future proof PC

Edit>> because you little rascals are having much fun with this post, here’s some more meat for you to munch on: (1) my grandma sent me a check to help me build this PC (2) The application is engineering analysis, physics simulation, and local LLM training. My gaming days are in the rearview mirror (at least at present) because my consciousness feels restricted by them.

So far so happy:

$2000 for an RTX 4090 slim, very good condition

$525 for this MOBO (plus $150 in car fuel - yes it was an 8 hour drive)

$190 for XL case w/ glass side enclosure

My endeavor: to build a “future proof” PC that is modular so I can upgrade like crazy instead of ever having to buy another ever again.

Granted, who knows how ridiculously heavy code will become this century… Moore’s law has us close to max compute so I guess I can’t get too far behind - although I’m sure quantum and layered CPU routing (new Huawei technology) will put all of us in the stone age soon enough.

Slow & steady!

[W][US-OH] RAM, SSD, CPU (see description)

Storage: 4TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD

RAM: 16GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM, 8 modules

CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9955WX

Budget = $2500

Hi,

Thank you in advance for any advice!!!

Being completely honest with myself/ pessimistic: I believe this is high end hardware that will not be found 2nd hand or significantly discounted.

The best deal I found was 4x 32GB DDR5 RDIMM ECC for $2800. I have a feeling this is a good deal, but I just can’t manage it right now. I really don’t know what the best “fishing ponds” are for the best RAM deals.

I’ve heard MicroCenter sometimes has bundle deals, but I am determined to have these specs and don’t know how flexible those bundle deals are.

First PC build. These are options I’m going with because Ai told me to (after like a week of arguing with ChatGPT on what I need for a 30B local LLM while also future proofing/ allowing high expandability for AFTER I’m no longer broke (motherboard = ASUS WRX90 Pro)).

To my shame, I have resorted to browsing AliExpress/AliBaba. Should I save myself the headache and avoid Chinese sourced DDR5?

Full disclosure: I am between jobs while also being sued by a software company for alleged piracy. So, I am relatively broke BUT… I will die on this hill of having a good PC if it takes all of my cash assets to build this puppy and pissing off my wife (do I get a gold star?).

Best regards

Edit: just looking for RAM.
