It happened to me. Can tendon issues heal?

1 dose of levofloxacin about a month and a half ago. Quit immediately due to reading about it online. Fast forward to today: in hospital for an achilles tendon injury from going up two stairs at once, something I’ve done my whole life. I’m 30F. No full rupture but told to rest it and it should recover over weeks.

PLEASE no horror stories, just freaking the hell out that this is forever. Has anyone healed well from this?

I was diagnosed privately by Psychiatry UK in 2022 after previously being diagnosed with autism via the NHS, as the woman assessing me noticed I had separate ADHD symptoms. My NHS psychiatrist waved me away, saying it’s the autism symptoms only, because I’m not “impulsive enough” his question to ask me if I was “impulsive enough” was : “when looking at a chinese menu do you decide very fast? ok then you’re not impulsive.”… Thanks, man

I then got privately diagnosed via Psychiatry UK which cost hundreds of £ but at the time they couldn’t prescribe me medication remotely due to my weight being around 7st5 at the time and the psychiatrist said I should be 8st, which I worked up to and returned, but he still didn’t feel comfortable prescribing without monitoring my weight in real life and recommended I go to a local psychiatrist in person. For clarification, now i’m 2026 I weigh 8st1. Sorry this message is rather disjointed. Also btw when I saw my NHS psychiatrist and they refused by diagnosis it was after giving me a quick assessment which was much less thorough than my private one with questions that were irrelevant and nonsensical.

Since then, I have been without medication and try to manage my condition with excessive caffeine to the detriment to my health.

Has anyone had any success after being stuck in my particular situation?

I am about to fly solo 14 hours home after a 3 month trip and I have had one of the worst weeks ever as it is. 4 hours sleep yesterday and will get about 3 today too if I am lucky. There’s also a layover and final flight and the drive to and from airports.

ALSO my seizure meds and antidepressants are also 1 day short (i got a supply to take on this trip with me but they didn’t account for my day travelling back.) and I run out tonight. We tried calling different pharmacies today to get emergency prescription and all said no and my flight is tomorrow morning. Everything is too much.

Doubt I’ll even get any sleep tonight and I’ve never been able to sleep on a plane. I’m also autistic and scared of flying so that’s the cherry on top for this situation. I wish I wasn’t doing this alone. I’m sorry for sounding so negative, I just feel afraid
