Help me pick a smartwatch

Hey guys,

I've been trying to decide on a smartwatch for the past few days and I'm honestly really confused.

I mainly go to the gym on weekdays, and on weekends I usually play cricket and badminton. So I'm looking for something that can track my workouts, steps, sleep, heart rate, etc. Accuracy is probably my biggest priority.

I was originally planning to get a Fitbit air but it doesn't seem to be available here and now i want a tracker with a screen.

Right now I'm looking at the Amazfit Active 2, Active 3, Active Max, and the Huawei GT 5. My budget is around ₹15k inr, so Garmin is out of the picture.

With the current Amazon sale going on, which one would you guys pick? Is the Active 2 the better buy, or is it worth spending more on the Active 3/Active Max? Or is there something else in this price range that you'd recommend instead?

Would love to hear from people who've actually used any of these. Thanks!

Complete IEM newbie here. Looking for a Type-C IEM under ₹2.5k

Hey everyone,

I've never used an IEM before, only TWS earbuds, so I honestly have no idea where to start.

I was planning to buy a normal wired Type-C earphone, but then I found out about IEMs and thought I'd give one a try instead.

My main use is pretty basic:

- Music while going for walks

- YouTube and movies

- Occasionally using one ear while riding my bike for music

I don't really want to buy a separate DAC, so I'm looking for something that works straight out of the box with Type-C.

My budget is under ₹2,500. If possible, I'd also like one with a 3-button in the cable

Since I'm a complete beginner, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Also, if there's anything I should know before buying my first IEM, feel free to let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Any shops around here that sell die-cast/model cars?

Hey guys, any shops around here that sell die-cast/model cars?

Looking for replicas of cars like BMW and other brands in scales like 1:32, 1:24, etc.

Not really sure what they're called, but those collectible mini car models.

Let me know if you know any places. Thanks!

Beginner badminton shoe suggestions?

Hey guys,

Started playing badminton with friends recently, usually once or twice a week for around 2 hours each. I've only played a couple of times so far and both times I was barefoot, so I figured it's time to get proper shoes.

I was initially looking at a budget of around ₹3k, but after going through a lot of posts here I'm willing to stretch it to ₹5k if there's a significant difference.

I'm 24, active, go to the gym regularly, and this is mainly for casual games with friends.

Was looking at Asics and Decathlon options, but I'm open to anything.

What would you recommend?

Is the Huawei GT 5 still worth buying in India?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying the Huawei GT 5, which is currently available for around ₹15,000 in India, and I'd like some advice.

My main priorities are:

Accurate heart rate tracking

Good sleep tracking

Gym workouts/strength training tracking during weekdays

Weekend sports like cricket and badminton

Walking and occasional running

Reliable step counting

Good battery life

I use a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and I'm not too concerned about smartwatch features like replying to messages, third-party apps, or LTE. My main focus is fitness and health tracking accuracy.

I've also been looking at:

Huawei Watch Fit 4

Amazfit Active 2

Amazfit Active 3

Amazfit Active Max

Amazfit T-Rex 3

Amazfit Bip Max

Most reviews seem to suggest Huawei watches have very good heart rate and sleep tracking, but I do have a few concerns:

Since Huawei has limited presence in India now, are there any compatibility issues with Android/Samsung phones?

Do notifications, calls, syncing, and updates work properly?

How is the app experience in India?

Since the GT 5 is over a year old now, is it still worth buying at ₹15,000, or would you recommend something else in this price range?

For GT 5 owners:

How accurate has the heart rate tracking been during workouts?

How good is the sleep tracking?

Any annoying bugs or limitations?

Would you buy it again today?

Even if you haven't owned the GT 5, I'd appreciate opinions from anyone who has researched or compared these watches.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
