insurance denied

so like the title says, insurance has denied to cover my surgery and I have72 hours to work on an appeal for it. What I'm wondering is if anyone else has had to write an appeal and what you wrote?

my surgeon is also trying to write an appeal, but they asked me to also try my hand in writing one to hopefully get this done asap, but I'm really stumped as to what to write and where to start off.

any and all help is appreciated on what I should include!

Piercings and surgery?

So for my surgery ive been told no piercings the day before and the day of, but i was wondering one: if I can wear plastic retainers so they don't close, and two: if I can put them back in after surgery

I have already emailed my surgeon about this question, but its just late and I took the shweed of anxiety so im worried about it rn

button ideas?

so im going to be going to ren faire this year and wanted to hand out some handmade buttons as little souvenirs for anyone that approaches me! I started these guys already, but any ideas on what else I should add? I want to keep them pretty simple, but I dont know if everyone wants a little goblin dude.. should i make them more uniform? or maybe add more goblin esque things like mushrooms rather than just goblin faces

my first fursuit head!

thanks to everyone's help yesterday and some determination, I finally furred my head properly!!! im so excited for how it looks, but im wondering on how to make it a little more... more. I was gonna add some spots with sharpie, or maybe some eyebrows.. would that work?

also, do the eyes seem okay? ive been thinking of not using the plastic inserts and just doing craft foam to get the shape I want, but would that work? could I just use the mesh glued to the inside or do I need the socket?

help with patterning

so i posted a few days ago but didnt really get a response.. basically im just looking for help and advice on how I should pattern this out.

ive watched a few tutorials and nothing has worked so far, ive gotten so far as cutting and sewing the fabric and it looked terrible and didnt line up well so im just wondering how I should be doing this?

this is my first fursuit head so please go easy on me..

also idk if it matters, but im using minky fabric to sew onto this if that makes a difference

how to pattern?

so ive tried to pattern out how the fabric will lay a few times now and i just cant seem to get it right. does anyone know any tips or could even draw on the photo for me what they think might work?

im also having a lot of trouble figuring out the inside of the mouth and how to get that figured out, if anyone can help me with either of these problems it would be greatly appreciated!

so basically like the title says, im getting top surgery soon and want to know what to expect and possibly things to buy once im in the healing process. and yes I mean the nitty gritty stuff to like issues in the bathroom and how recovery will look like in the first week.

Rear wiper stuck

so i saw someone else with this problem get answered, but my car is a different year then theirs.. chevy spark 2014, the rear wiper is now stuck in the up position entirely and when it does this, the battery dies. usually im able to just push back and then get it to go forward, but this time it isnt working.

TLDR: how do I get my 2014 chevy spark rear wiper to disconnect from my battery/get it to go down

rat acting strange after brother's death

my youngest boy is acting very strange lately. his brother, the one he seemed closest with, just died 5 days ago, but he's basically just walking around really weirdly and I havent seen him eat yet. even tried to hand feed him some baby food and he only licked it up once.

aside from the breathing issue you may hear (hes had crackle breathing since we got him and have tried every medicine the vets gave us), he is just.. being really weird? idk, he's usually never very mobile and likes to just sit in a spot and pretend to be a gargoyle, but idk.. can someone help me out here

im mainly concerned about him eating as he already doesnt have a big appetite and is really skinny

UPDATE: woke up this morning and he was laying stiff on the bottom of the cage.... rest in peace to both Freak and Handlebar
