Dosage help - 14 kg down on 3.75 mg, now stalled for 6 weeks

I’ve been on Mounjaro for 6 months and have lost 14 kg in the first 5 months, mostly on 3.75 mg. I was losing around 550–600 g/week consistently.

For the last 6 weeks, my weight has completely stalled. I’ve been increasing my dose very gradually: 3.75 → 4 → 4.25 → now 5 mg.

I have virtually no side effects, but I’m also not getting much appetite suppression anymore. I generally eat around 1300 kcal/day (90g protein) although I’ll have been indulging in dessert once or twice a week, (over 1300 kcal)... which seems to be enough for me to maintain rather than lose.

I’m wondering if I made a mistake by titrating so slowly and whether I should have moved to 5 mg directly from 3.75mg.

I’m considering taking a 2–3 week break and then restarting at 5 mg.

Has anyone done this and did it help? Or should I simply stay on 5 mg for now and eventually move up?

Honestly, I’d really prefer to stay on the lower doses and avoid 7.5 mg if possible 😒 — but obviously I’ll do what’s necessary.

Would love to hear from people who’ve experienced a similar stall. What worked for you?

My Perfume collection ranked purely on my personal taste

I realized my collection has grown enough that I could finally rank everything I own.

This ranking is 100% based on my personal experience and not based on brand, price or popularity.

Also, I recently ordered following decants (yet to receive them)

-Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge Ultime
-YSL Black Opium EDP
-Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
-Burberry Goddess Parfum
-Lattafa

  • Her Confession
  • Angham
  • Victoria

Do you think these go with my taste?
Suggest what else can I try?

Beetroot baked chips

No other beetroot chips have so less calories.. only these beetroot chips have ~250kcal while others have almost double 450-550kcal

Is this a scam? Printing mistake?

I love these as a late night snack. I eat like 10-15 g and it helps satisfy my hunger

Anyother similar low cal snacks?

Illiyoon ato barrier vs Pyunkang Yul Intensive Ceramide Lotion

I have been using illiyoon ato barrier lotion since last 4-5 months now. I love the fluffy hydrating feeling it gives.

However, it is currently not in stock so I need to buy something else.

Do you suggest Pyunkang Yul Intensive Ceramide Lotion could be a close replacement?

COSRX Propolis Toner vs Propolis Ampoule – help me decide please

I've almost finished my COSRX Propolis Synergy Toner and absolutely love it. 🫰

Now I'm wondering... should I just repurchase it or is the Propolis Light Ampoule actually an upgrade?

My skin is dry, dehydrated and I have easily offended barrier. Barrier healing and hydration is my top priority. Glow and brightness (only if without stinging) are additional good have benefits.

For those who've used both, which one would you buy again or recommend and why?

Is the ampoule noticeably better or should I stick with toner that I already love as first step after cleansing my face.

Comparison - Korean vs some popular sunscreens I used (Chemical and Mineral)

https://preview.redd.it/bhnp4od2hyeh1.png?width=866&format=png&auto=webp&s=a70d3d0808a69929066acde80fde39dbc6d69d45

Chemical Sunscreens

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel - 9.5/10

I love the texture and finish. It's hydrating, dewy and doesnt sting my skin despite having Niacinamide. I wish it didn't contain Homosalate. Otherwise, it's my favourite sunscreen.

Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh Relief Sun - 8.5/10

Less dewy than Isntree but has no niacinamide, uses newer UV filters and is water-resistant. A great everyday sunscreen, but i like Isntree feel on my skin better.

SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum - 7.5/10

It's a fine sunscreen, but I honestly don't understand the hype. It feels similar to many other Korean sunscreens but more expensive and less hydrating vs Isntree.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Fluid - 4/10

Good UV protection and water resistance, but it's far too drying while somehow making my skin feel congested. I simply can't wear it

Hybrid/ Physical (Mineral) Sunscreens

Torriden Dive-In Mild Sun Cream - 8/10

It's not as dewy as chemical sunscreens, but it's also not drying. The most hydrating mineral sunscreen I've tried.

Minimalist Light Fluid SPF 50 - 6/10

Good water and sweat resistance, but it never feels as comfortable or elegant as Korean sunscreens.

Ranking 8 milky toners for dry, dehydrated, easily offended skin barrier

My skin is dry, dehydrated, and stings and I love milky toners that helps my barrier as well.

Here's my ranking.

Haru Haru (100/10): Silky, luxurious, soothing. My forever repurchase.

Laneige (8/10): Thinner than what I like but Surprisingly hydrating.

Celimax (6/10) & Aestura (5/10): Good, but I honestly don't get the hype. Did nothing much for my skin

COSRX Mist (5/10): Nice for layering between sunscreen and skin tint but can make me look a little greasy.

TIRTIR, Thank You Farmer & I'm From Rice (4/10): Loved the texture, hated the sting. I'm guessing my skin doesn't agree with the niacinamide and botanical extracts.

Repurchasing only: Haru Haru & Laneige.

What milky toner should I try next?

Clash of the Cleansing Balms

So I love double cleansing as it removed

S all the sweat, dust, oil, sunscreen and skin tint. I do it almost every day especially if I have gone out of home.

My skin is dry and sensitive and I love cleansing balms and their buttery texture and emulsification process.

I have tried multiple balms and tir tir and pky are my absolute favourites.

Here is my rating for all the balms I have ever tried.

I am open to trying more buttery, balmy delights.. suggestions welcome.

Battle of foam cleansers

I love creamy foaming cloudy cleansers that are not stopping, give great lather, are gentle and preferably fragrance and alcohol free.

Above is my ranking- I love Roundlab dokdo cleanser by a huge gap.

Torriden and skinfood are closer followed by faceshop (I wish it did not have fragrance) and missha has an amazing feel but is drying and not too sensitive- skin friendly.

I love trying new creamy/whipped face washes that lather to a rich foam.. please do add on to my list.. TIA

How often do you meet your doctor?

I met my doctor when I started and then in between I spoke to her via email as I did not want to go directly to 5mg from 2.5mg ( Mounjaro).

It's been 4 months since I met her at the start. I m doing alright. I don't have any questions. I know the next steps.

So when should I meet her?

Alternatives to Aestura Hydro Boost Essence? (No niacinamide, sensitive skin friendly)

My Aestura Hydro Boost Essence is about to get over. I really like it- it's bouncy and hydrating texture.

But I also want to try something new with a similar texture, feel and ingredient profile.

I m looking for something that is:

  • Hydrating essence with bouncy/fluffy texture (not a heavy cream) as first step after cleanser and before Haru haru probiotic essence
  • Suitable for sensitive, reactive skin
  • No niacinamide
  • Preferably fragrance-free and without common irritants/essential oils

If you've used Aestura and found something with a similar "comforting but elegant" feel, I'd love your recommendations! 😊

TIA

Officially 10kg lighter (and still waiting for my dramatic before-after moment)

10kg down! Clothes are a lil loose & I am a lil more active/happy. Yay!

Average loss has been around 600g/week, and definitely not linear. Some weeks I lost nothing, some weeks more. Trust the trend, not the daily weigh-ins.

Biggest side effects for me: nausea and gas 😅. Annoying, yes. Life-altering, no. I continued going to the office, took multiple holidays, traveled and lived my normal life.

I'm still on a relatively low dose of 3.75mg.

Am I happy I started this journey? Absolutely. I think it'll take me around 2 years to reach my goal but I m motivated to put in the effort and money (i know it will take a huge amount)

My only lingering worry is whether I'll be able to maintain the weight if I stop someday. But for now, I m focusing on the next 600 grams.

To everyone just starting: progress doesn't have to be fast to be real.
