Bought my first toy!

I treated myself to a tiny little massager and some water based… jelly and brought it with me on my little solo staycation. I’m usually very vanilla when it comes to this, and used my fingers only up until this point. I was bored and took this out to explore.

Holy moly guys, it was the best journey and (out)come of my life 😂 And I’m 30 years old. Idk why i waited so long to try this out.

Ever since getting out of my last relationship of six years (my ex mans was very good at his job 🥲) I haven’t really found a way to feel sexy myself and do stuff for me.

Anyway. So. I’m here just to vent and tell you out how good it was, and if you have any other recommendations on how I can be feeling myself more at this ripe old age? Any specific shapes, wand styles, props, ambience suggestions if you will, that would help me try and explore this new awakening? Jokes aside, thanks in advance for anyone who bothers reading to the end and wants to help a girl out.

Have any of you ladies done a staycation?

As the title says- I need to break up my work from home routine, and the thought of going on a flight, bus, checking into a hotel, packing, is tiring me out lol

I’ve seen people (mostly online) book rooms in fancy hotels for a couple nights alone and it’s always intrigued me. I haven’t really explored my own city tbh, so it might give me an excuse to do that. Along with just living life on my own terms for 48 hours with no itinerary pressure or the monotony of daily life.

So yeah, just querying if anyone has done and what their experience was like?

Planning to visit in August

This will be my first time visiting Goa 🥹 I’m 28, visiting for my birthday on the Independence Day weekend in August. I want something lowkey and restful - and don’t completely mind the rain unless it’ll be bad bad

Priorities:
- chill and lowkey
- cafes, markets, churches, sunsets
- easily accessible (I can’t drive anything)
- happy to splurge on accommodation a bit

NOT priorities:
- swimming
- nightlife
- partying and booze
- hostels (I’m very introverted)
(I’m visiting again in Dec with friends so will be covered then lol)

Are there any recommended areas that are easily accessible on foot, or how else do you get around? Any cafes, churches, sunset spots, etc?

Looking forward for recommendations!

**edit: I’m unable to use my own vehicle or drive as I have a neurological impairment. This is also the reason I am staying away from night clubs

Planning a solo trip - where should I go?

My job is making me take my paid time off because I’ve accrued a lot lol. And I’m not sure where to travel or what to do during that time (one week in August - 9 ish days total)

I’m more of a laid back, lowkey traveller, I like being touristy but devote at least half of the time to actually catching up on rest. I’m looking for a packaged deal, pre-planned tours, etc because I cannot be bothered with the planning. I really am lost on the websites with all the options - Andaman, Coorg/Ooty, Goa (I’ve never been lol), Rajasthan?

Have you done something similar and do you have any recommendations? Looking forward to suggestions!! 💖

Scalp Psoriasis Sudden Flare

Hi I’m 28F and have had scalp psoriasis for a long bit of my life. I’ve been to a doctor but honestly my body doesn’t do good with strong medication/steroids and I cannot afford specialised treatment. I’ve resorted to topical solutions and diet control, I stop eating too much sugar and try to keep my scalp clean with the right shampoo; etc and it has kept it controlled for a while

However as of the last few weeks I’ve had a massive flare up, huge chunks of flakes/scabs on my hairline and towards the back of my head, my eyebrows, my ears. Idk what to do anymore. it’s really taking a toll on my self confidence, I want to go bald but it’ll probably be worse. I can’t wear dark clothing, I need to keep applying Vaseline. It’s really driving me nuts and I’m not sure what to do.

I don’t know what I’m hoping to get out of this post but if anyone has any suggestions on how to control this a bit because I’m really struggling. Thank you.

Getting past the B1 slump

Bonjour à tous!

As the title says, I feel like I’m stuck at B1. I’m able to converse with my Preply tutor in basic French, watch YouTube videos, shows and listen to podcasts without much difficulty (and looking up the odd new word or phrase) but I’d really appreciate some help with a couple of things:

- elevating my speaking from B1 to B2
- writing (I hate writing lol) so open to suggestions on how I can make this more fun and manageable
- would love any recommendations on audiobooks as well (I have two audible credits I need to use)

What I already do/ have done:
- InnerFrench Podcast, Jamy Epicurieux, Hugo Décrypte, random French YouTube videos on ghosts and lifestyle
- Lupin, HPI, Flunked, Love is Blind France (lol)
- le Petit Prince, L’étranger, Read & Think French (open to more books!)

Or maybe I should start focusing on exam prep? I’m hoping to take the TCF soon but don’t know how to start specific prep 🫠

I do have a full time job so..

Open to any suggestions! Merci d’avance!

Past Experience Reference Letter Advice

Hello, I’m requesting a reference letter from my past employer and they’ve asked what points should be included in job duties and if the NOC should be mentioned too.

I’m honestly not sure- I know not to just copy and paste the job duties on the website; they need to be tailored to the actual job at the company. However I’m confused if the NOC should or shouldn’t be on there (thinking maybe not)?

Are you able to help please? Thanks in advance

How long have you been doing LDR?

I’m almost one year without seeing my boo ☹️

Much wiser compared to six months ago lol. The intimacy and closeness is still pretty strong, although I’ve forgotten what he smells like 😂

How long has it been for you?

Euphoria Newbie Here… wtf is going on

I only started watching Euphoria a couple of weeks ago. Binged the first two seasons and now I’ve caught up and just finished S3 Ep 5.

It feels like a completely different show to me 😂😭 The first season was AMAZING. I remember finishing it and just questioning why I hadn’t watched this for so many years. The themes, the cinema, the drama - the satire was done SO WELL. Season 2 was good as well! I remember watching certain episodes and thinking about it all day, the lighting, the music.

And then I started season 3 and it seemed like a reunion show that takes places ten years after the original. Lol. Everything seems a little off? Idk if this is intentional; I haven’t been in the universe long enough but I kinda enjoyed Rue being 40% of the show and everyone else taking up the remaining 60% - Cassie, Jules, Nate, Maddy and Kat— ALSO WHERE IS SHE?

I feel like I’m late to the party and need a hug. And also some theories and stuff thrown at me because I’m going through massive growing pains lol.

Girlies who work remote, how do you stay in shape?

What the title says; I work a 9 hour shift (1pm to 10pm) and I’m struggling to get activity in during the day.

I barely get any steps; can’t walk out due to the heat, i don’t have any decent gyms nearby (just tiny stinky ones with poor ventilation, full of bros who lift), I eat okay (high protein, fibre, less carb), but I’m struggling to keep the weight off.

Especially my belly. I’m 28F, 85kgs, 5’8” potentially chronically stressed.

Any suggestions on supplements I can add, any insight into that you’re doing to stay active in a similar situation, would be appreciated!

Edit: pls don’t be mean. I am plateauing which is why I asked for suggestions. I weight 96kgs in Aug 2025, calorie counted and took magnesium and no activity got me to where I am at :)

I posted about the current situation in Bengal and people are telling me to calm down and to not speak hypothetical situations.

Here’s one thing for certain: my cat is super cute and she’s judging you all

Hey all- I’ve only just started listening to audiobooks and was hoping for some recommendations. I used to read A LOT pre-COVID so I’ve read older books but not those that released or had a resurgence in recent years.

I’ve listened to 1 (one) so far lol. Project Hail Mary. Was brilliant imo but I don’t have much to go off of.

Open to any fiction audio books that are easy for beginners (nice dialogue and modulation, story flows easy, etc) thanking you!!!
