Is this a good deal? (In AU)

Is this a good deal? (In AU)

Hey all, the title pretty much asks the question, I want to get a new vr and I have been looking in the used market and I came across this kit on CEX for $1450 AUD or $1050 USD, I know the headset is old but I’m not really buying this kit for the headset and I’m mainly doing it for the controllers and base stations as those alone in Australia are around $1300 AUD or more.

B grade is unfortunately pretty vague as it could mean that it’s simply only being opened and never used or that it has been used for a while.

I was wondering if anyone else who has bought a valve from here could speak from their experience or anyone who just has some advice on this purchase.

Cheers.

Is it safe to buy a B grade VR?

Hey all the title pretty much asks it all, I know CEX is pretty trust worthy and safe but I feel like buying a used VR is a bit of a gamble especially for me as I don’t live near a CEX and will have to have it delivered and I cant look over it in person.

If someone who may have gotten a B grade headset or is just familiar with CEX could offer some advice It’d be grateful.

Vive pro 2 vs Crystal light

Hey all, the title pretty much says it all, I’m interested in a new vr and these two are the ones I’ve narrowed down on.

I know from previous posts that it may be a no-brainer to go for the Crystal Light as it has better resolution and many other things but I’m just not sure if it’ll suit my particular way of playing.

I can buy a full Vive pro 2 kit that comes with all the accessories such as 2x light house, controller ect. For the same price as a crystal light, but you only get the headset and controllers, cable ect. Which isn’t bad but I have disgustingly bad lighting and I am dead-set on having lighthouse tracking.

And for me to go and separately buy lighthouse tracking, a lighthouse faceplate for the headset and controllers that accept lighthouse I’m going to be spending atleast an extra 800 AUD.

And from how it seems the Crystal Light is a pretty heavy headset and seems to be mostly used for seated sims but I’m going to be exclusively playing standing vr games.

But I also know that the Vive pro 2 is a little old and renown for being kinda shit.

So I’m wondering, should I save up to get the Pimax or just buy the Vive pro 2 or are there any better headsets that I should look into getting?

Thanks in advance.

Hey all, I’m planning on buying a new PC (budget is 4200AUD) and I was just searching for parts on eBay and I came across this build here, it’s 3900 AUD or 2,808 USD and I’m sure this is a good deal considering the 4090 alone is like 2800 AUD but I also want to know if this build can actually suit my needs if it is in fact a good deal.

I’m a heavy VR enthusiast and with a new PC upgrade a new VR upgrade will follow and I’m planning on buying a Pimax Crystal light which is a beefy headset to use.

And also if this isn’t a good deal I could make a 5080 build but I know the 5080 is about 20% slower than the 4090 but has the advantage of newer software which might be a better decision for Vr usage.

Any advice would be great.

Hey all, the title pretty much says it all, I have a build im planning on building to use the Pimax Crystal Light but I’ve hit a stalemate when it’s come to choosing between these two options, if anyone could assist me with what would be best for this vr headset please let me know.

Hey all the title pretty much asks the main question, I’ve been planning on getting a new pc for a while and have a budget of $4200 AUD and an originally I was planning on getting a 5080 Ryzen 7 9800x3d as it fits my gaming needs and is in my budget and it high end.

But just before I came across a used guide on eBay for 3900 AUD that comes with these specs

	**•	CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF (24 Core / 32 Thread, up to 6GHz)**
**•	GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB**
**•	RAM: 32GB DDR5 5200MHz**
**•	Storage:**
**◦	2TB NVMe M.2 SSD**
**◦	4TB HDD (mass storage)**
**•	Motherboard: Z790 ATX DDR5 WiFi**
**•	Cooling: 360mm All-In-One Liquid Cooler**
**•	Power Supply: 1000W 80+ Gold**
**•	Case: Antec P20C ARGB Mid Tower**
**•	OS: Windows 11 Home (activated)**

I haven’t got the 5080 build done yet but i could imagine it will be somewhat similar to the specs listed above.

The build just seems like a bargain, but I’m not particularly sure if it’s good for my needs so this is why I’m making this post.

I am aiming to use the new pc for flatscreen games like dead space, ready or not at max settings of course but also mainly heavy vr gaming using the Pimax Crystal light which is one of the most hefty vr headsets to use so I’m not sure which one will be the best for me and my needs.

Any help would be phenomenal
