Should we avoid infrared light during Egg retrieval process.

It’s my first round of embryo freezing
CD4 today and day 3 of stimulation injections

I started acupuncture before my AF started
My acupuncture therapy is certified and qualified for fertility treatments. She is using infrared light on my abdomen area along with the needles.

She also suggested to do red light therapy at home for 20 min. When I asked Gemini and chatgpt it was saying to avoid it. Waiting to hear back from my RE.

Did anyone of you try infrared light therapy during or after your treatments to reduce inflammation??
Was it useful?

It’s my first time and I don’t want to do something that works against the ER process.

Looking for guidance
Thank you 🙏 for your support

Looking for TMJ specialist from New Jersey

Age 34. I just joined this group

I have been experiencing TMJ pain / locked jaw and joints clicks for past 4-5 years. So far tried chiropractor / fixing my crown if that was causing the pain / mouth guard / TMJ guard / CPAP machine / saw specialists / went to Rutgers dental school and NYU dental school for studies

Also tried Naturopathy / Ayurveda treatments
I do yoga which helps me a lot with my neck and shoulder pain

Any good recommendations from New Jersey ?
We live in Denville. Preferably looking in North jersey areas

Thank you so much 🙏 appreciate your support

Birthday today and feeling emotional

Last year I was pregnant after my birthday and was excited to be holding our baby this birthday which ended in a MC.

After that we had two more bio chemicals. When we got pregnant this July I was so happy that I will be pregnant on my birthday but unfortunately it ended in a bio chemical. We had our 1st IUI and it failed and got my AF yesterday 😕😕 this whole process is so overwhelming and exhausting
I really hope I get to hold my baby next birthday 🧿🫶🏽🤞🏽 All out tests are normal. All I can do is to pray and hope that things will work out soon.

We started our egg retrieval process to freeze our embryos. Went for day 2 testing today. Will start my hormonal injections from tonight 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Just feeling heavy today. Thank you for listening to my rant and 🤗 for your support 🙏❤️

1st round of egg retrieval & embryo freezing

New to IVF world. Had to make this decision in 2 days because of husband’s job being impacted.

**History**
Turning 34 soon / husband just turned 35
BMI 33
TSH 2.4
All tests normal for both of us
3 natural preg’s ended up in bio chemical in early weeks of 4-6 weeks
1 failed IUI

**I have 2 weeks until my egg retrieval**

We are freezing embryos PGT- A tested - for future use ( husband has good fertility benefits from work and soon switching jobs so making use of it )

Any suggestions or advice you can pass on from your experience. Grateful for your support 💕

I started acupuncture this week. Trice a week

**Supplement regime:**
prenatal with DHA EPA + extra omega 3’s because I don’t eat fish + CoQ10 + recently started Antioxidant berry blend

Feeling nervous to start the injections 🤞🏽
My protocol is Gonal F and Menopur

Hoping for a good quality embryos and genetically normal🤞🏽

Thank you 🙏 for your time and support
Wishing everyone who is on this journey a positive outcome and healthy pregnancies 💕💕

Freezing Embryos in a short notice

On a short notice*

For context my husband lost his job and our fertility benefits with progyny will end soon
So our doctor suggested to do freeze embryos while we have insurance.

Explained my options in detail in this post below
https://www.reddit.com/r/IVF/s/ijVTd5kKyx

I am 33F turning 34 soon
Waiting for my AF and once that starts I will start my meds for egg retrieval.

Could you please suggest what can I do to benefit before the egg retrieval. Any routine that helped you or supplements or foods you ate ?
I am starting Acupuncture tomorrow

I was told to continue pre natal + CoQ10 + Vit D
And not to workout for 2 weeks until we retrieve eggs. My meds would be gonal f and menopur

Any regime that helped with a successful retrieval and transfer ?

Also do you recommend PGT-A testing ?

Thank you 🙏for your time and support

Need advice on next steps

33F turning 34 in a week / husband turned 35 this week
Had 2 natural pregnancies and both ended in MC

Since March 2026 trying timed intercourse with letrozole ovidril progesterone
July cycle worked but ended in bio chemical

Did first IUI July 27th waiting for beta results
So far negative on urine tests. Most likely it’s a negative this cycle

**Context:**
My husband lost his job and he has insurance benefits until Dec 6th / and fertility Benefits through progyny which are really good

If he gets a new job we might not have the same insurance with good fertility benefits.
Doctor recommended to freeze embryos this month and we can always do an embryo transfer out of pocket even if we don’t have a good insurance.

**Next steps:**

**Option 1)** do embryo freezing this month
And continue trying naturally or IUI or IVF as the last option. Embryo freezing as back up because we want a second child in the future and keeping my age a factor I won’t be able to freeze if I get pregnant and then breast feeding so a good 2 years …I will be 36 then

**Option 2)**
Embryo freezing this month and embryo transfer next month

**Option 3)**
Try couple more IUI’s if doesn’t work out then go for IVF

I am scared to go through IVF. I am 223 pounds now and I have inflammation. From March not sure if it’s meds or are my hormones . I put on 20 pounds. Progesterone is messing so much with my body. Not sure how will I cope up with IVF meds.

Please advise. Thank you so much for your support 🙏💗 grateful for this community

Anyone on their 9DP IUI ?

I am on day 21 of my cycle

9D post IUI today

I tested this morning to see if trigger is out or not. It’s a negative. My implantation window is Aug 3- Aug 7th

Not sure how to interpret my negative as ☹️🤞🏽 I was hoping to see a positive. Today is my husband’s birthday. But also I am glad it’s a negative now I know trigger is out of my system
Will test again in 48 hours 🤞🏽 my beta blood is scheduled for 10th Aug

Karyotype testing negative

I had 3 bio chemicals since Sep 2025
Every time a week after we find out beta and progesterone drop
My last cycle in July resulted in a MC

We did RPL - everything is normal
TSH 2.4 yesterday
Progesterone CD 19 was 22.3
I am on 200 mg progesterone twice a day
Karyotype testing results came back yesterday.

Negative for both me and my husband

No PCOS
No male factor infertility

Did our 1st IUI on July 27th 🤞🏽🤞🏽 my beta is on Aug 10th

What are we missing ? Hoping for some answers ☹️ all tests seem to be normal.

How do I cope with friends and their child-focused conversations after my multiple losses?

TW: I’ve experienced 3 miscarriages in recent months, and this journey has been incredibly painful and exhausting.

I really love my friends and their kids so much. Individual catch-ups are great, and we talk about so many different things. I’m also always fine touching on the topic of their kids and hear them out.

However, in group hangouts, the conversation inevitably turns into non-stop talk about parenting, children, or pregnancy. It becomes overwhelming so fast, and the lack of mindfulness really hurts. It feels like there’s no empathy or awareness for when it becomes too much, to the point where my body just goes numb.

I’m struggling with how to navigate this while grieving:

How do you handle group settings in this headspaces?
Is it better to set boundaries, step back for a while, or speak up directly?
How do you protect your peace without completely isolating yourself?
Does anyone have advice on how to gently step back or shift the conversation when it crosses that threshold?

Thank you for your time and support 🧡
