kdrama like four hands two sonatas?

I'm looking for dramas similar to four hands two sonatas. I love the bromance here - the way they admire and stick up for each other as friends and stay drawn together even when they're not. Also the struggle they put themselves through for the other, without them knowing. I love the level of drama here, perfectly intense and frustrating, while also moving and sweet. I also adore the music elements, and getting to see them progress.

I am not looking for anything primarily a comedy without a fairly large drama element to it.

similar drama i love:

- twinkling watermelon - heartbreaking but sweet tone, music and its importance to the characters, beautiful friendship

- at a distance spring is green - strong unexpected bromance helping each other through hardships. both characters initially misjudge each other.

- if you wish upon me - likeable lead who can't catch a break and is misjudged despite being kind and selfless. hopeful and dramatic at the same time.

full watch history: flower of evil, move to heaven, taxi driver, pinnochio, uncontrollably fond, the devil judge, signal

thank you any suggestions.

character focused heavy, cry-worthy anime that aren't action based?

preferably where these elements are introduced quickly. i dont want the tone to be happy and energetic and then become sadder once you watch a few episodes, im looking for something that inherently has that in it's tone even if balanced with warmth. im looking for dramas but romance, thriller, or sci fi elements blending in there is totally fine!

examples:

- orange - lots of actually heavy moments i full on cried about, and the very low sci fi elements being used as a vehicle to tell just a character focused drama was great. these kind of themes do it the most for me plus the hurt comfort friend group stuff

- your lie in april - self explanatory but especially perfect because it isnt just a sad ending but a dramatic and bittersweet journey overall

- erased - again, sci fi acting as a vehicle for heavy character stuff with a thriller element but not epic battles sort of thing.

thanks for any ideas!!

fun action packed shows with good characters and still some sad moments?

I really want something to get attached to the characters a lot, where it isn't just a bunch of jokes but tied into eventful plots and occasionally balanced out with real drama or threat.

some of the best examples that have fit this for me are peacemaker and scorpion! thank you for anything.

series that are moody and intense emotionally?

im looking for something to really wreck me in places, especially with darker themes or aesthetics. i definitely want something that is genre wise a drama, but that can be mixed with thriller, sci fi, supernatural elements. ideally on the shorter side, but I don't really mind.

some examples of shows that fit this for me: midnight mass, nbc hannibal, early supernatural, half man, the walking dead

thanks for anything!

songs with crazy structures?

songs like zimzalabim, tvsq's rising sun, i got a boy, mr mr etc. something with tempo, genre or key changes, crazy dance breaks or any other untypical/fun way of being put together. I do know most of the really popular girl group songs, but older ones very welcome and im not that versed with boy groups at all! thank you for any ideas :)))

movies where you end up thinking about the characters outside of the film itself?

im looking for something that can really get me absorbed into the characters and be left remembering them emotionally. perhaps films that have garnered fanbases, no matter how small. preferably not something that is 100% comedy, there needs to be a genuine threat or something sad somewhere for me to be that interested.

examples that did this for me :

- the it movies (especially the second one where they are adults)

- final destination (especially 3)

- dead poets society

- pacific rim

- the long walk

- little miss sunshine

- saw

thanks if anyone can think of anything!

books with friendship and heavy themes

looking for something on the sad, heavy side that balances this with friendships being explored. for example the outsiders or the goldfinch. I'd prefer something on the bittersweet side of being both gutrenching and occasionally warm, and preferably something where bad things feel handled well, maybe not as over the top as a little life. thank you for any ideas!

good friend watches for a marathon?

looking for some good movies to watch with friends, particularly that are suited for a big marathon but not looking for a franchise. we like doing a lot of horror but love musicals, comedy etc too, just probably won't enjoy anything that drags too much when we'll be trying to keep the energy up.

some we watched already and all like:

- detention (2012)

- milk & serial

- ready or not

- rent

- gonjiam haunted asylum

- when evil lurks

- cocaine bear

- as above so below

- both camp rock movies

- anna karenina

- it ends

dark but lowkey american movies set in mundane places? like elephant (2003) or bubble (2005)

I would also group paranoid park (2007) in with these. I like the naturalistic styles of these films, often featuring unknown cast. feels adjacent to well known 'mumblecore' indies but im looking for things with a little darker subject matter. thanks for any ideas!

movies based around big cities?

looking for some films where you get a lot of sense of a big city, can be anywhere - real or fictional, past or future. i know this phrase gets overused but good old 'the city feels like a character' type of thing. something where you get a decent amount of time to look around and feel it if that makes sense. thanks for any ideas!

i really liked jasper mall and am wondering if there are any other documentaries worth checking out about similar topics or locations? especially places that seem stuck in time, or any sort of small scale curiosities that are let to breathe with the pacing. im really open to anything with docs so any suggestions welcome.
