WP is getting better each day, going one big round just to show the flaw in super majority.

Just hoping to see how the law makers deal with their own rule with fairness. I mean they probably can’t unless they’re competent, no dead cat please.

This is one of the reason why companies should hire Singaporean.

They can barely get their job done without support of their co workers, singaporean shouldn’t be low balled to provide assistance.

We need to thank our MP for helping out 400 migrant workers with unpaid wages so that they can stay to compete with Singaporean and provide them S$200 in cash, vouchers collected from tax payers.

Thank you MP Ng Chee Meng, but I think we should focus more on why graduates are getting paid lesser and some who has lost their jobs in recent months.

It’s time for government to provide support to non-degree holders while the degree holders are being retrenched at the meantime.

My proposal is simple, because non degree holders are earning lesser and therefore are hit the hardest in an environment where the degree holders cannot survive.

Singapore workers that built Singapore up understand the meaning of “Customer is always right”. Seeing LTA retaliation against a member of public speaking up seems like we’ve evolved to civil servants are always right in today’s society.

What our politicians are doing right now rather than to discuss about employment, bread and butter.

Currently playing with the racial cards. Just hoping they would address why the CDC vouchers are not yet out to help the unemployed who loses their job right now and why are we not able to print money to support the economy right now as a rich nation.

I asked AI what if our court acted on its own motion on Parti Liyani’s case and here’s the result.

If sua sponte interventions were standard practice in cases like this, an accused person would not be entirely reliant on having a stellar defense team. Ms. Parti's acquittal was largely credited to her immense personal resolve and the tireless pro bono work of her lawyer, Anil Balchandani. A sua sponte power actively used by the bench would serve as a judicial safety net, protecting vulnerable, unrepresented, or under-represented defendants the moment glaring systemic or police lapses become visible to the court.

If lower court made an error and a judgment was overturned at a higher court, who pays the cost for the blunder?

We can look at it as though justice had prevailed, but could there be another choice for the people who don’t want to waste additional money to be told “we made a mistake but here’s the bill”.

My deep concern is on law abiding citizens who were forced to attend criminal court but eventually got acquitted.

Despite not having committed any crime, they were brought before the court all because some people wanted to kill their time during their office hour.

S’pore PR, 46, acquitted of restraining recruiter in nursing room to molest her - White Knight Failed to Secure Conviction

This guy here was put to shame despite the prosecution having a weak case that didn’t stop them from wanting to be a white knight and to keep their rice bowl.

As a member of the public and for the public interest I have two suggestions,

  1. Continue to pursue and appeal to overturn the acquittal if they genuinely believe in their case.

  2. Apologise and compensate the accused person.
