Freshly ex vegan, could use some meal inspo

Hi all, as title suggests I’ve recently stopped being vegan. I was meat free for the past 10 years or so and vegan for about 8 of those. It’s been probably 6-10 months of slowly incorporating very small amounts of meat and cheese to the point that I can now tolerate most animal products in normal quantities. The only items that still really bother me are gelatin, hyper processed dairy, and any form of beef or pork. I do deal with high quality dairy and fish + chicken very well. Eggs are also not my favorite but cause no issues for me. I really love to cook and make fresh meals at home but am struggling with knowing what to make. I tend to keep a stocked fridge and pantry with all the staples. We are definitely more of an ingredients household, so I try not to buy anything pre made or super niche that I only use once. Luckily I work from home so I do have the freedom to cook every meal. I love white fish but how much is too much??? Are people really eating an animal protein at every meal? Atleast for every dinner? Seems a bit boring to have just chicken or fish every night lol, but maybe I need to experiment with how I make it. My husband grew up with simple meals and a lot of beef so he’s not much help. I’m looking for any advice in how to plan my meals around animal protein. And any healthy snacks too! I’ve lived the past decade of my life on veggies beans and tofu. Thanks in advance!

Disappointed in Customer Service

No questions, just need a quick rant...

After some deliberation I finally decided to apply for the sapphire reserve today! Active military waives the annual fee so it was a bit of a no brainer. I initially called to verify I can submit the application for the Sapphire Reserve using a new mailing address (we just moved). I wanted to make sure it wouldn't get flagged since it's a different state from my primary residence. I was told by the rep to just apply with the new mailing address. I got the pending decision instead of automatic approval. This was an instant red flag in my opinion! I've been getting pre approval ads on my chase account for months! I have a 798 credit score, 8% utilization, only 2 new cc in the past 24 months, 200k income and have been with chase for 6 years with only 2 chase cc and 30k total Chase credit.

It took 2 hours, 6 calls to the reconsideration line and about 10 different reps. The first few reps told me I would have to wait for the physical rejection letter and reapply in 30 days. I had to call back a few times until I could find someone that was willing to help me. Finally, I was told it was flagged as fraud for the new address and that initial rep gave me wrong info. (I had a feeling, should've gone with my gut). But then when they went to correct the address, they forgot to change the city state & zipcode which led to another rejection! I finally got someone who could find the issue and I was instantly approved for 20k credit limit. I understand this isn't a common situation and it was a bit confusing but I am extremely disappointed in Chase for the misinformation and lack of communication. If I hadn't called back and bothered them so many times I would've been stuck with a hard inquiry on my credit report for no reason, and no credit card to show for it. Even after I made the effort to confirm everything with them.... This isn't my first time having issues with Chase. If it wasn't for a waived annual fee for active duty military I would have just not applied. I have been way happier with Amex customer service and love my platinum.

PCS to Oahu

Hi all, my husband and I just got to pearl from norfolk. Currently staying in a hotel in waikiki on TLA. We really want to hold out for housing on MCBH even though we have lower priority as Navy. No kids or pets so it's not the worst staying in a hotel. But it looks like we're going to run out of the 60 day TLA before getting a home offer. Housing office said 2-6 months ... Any suggestions for where to find a month to month furnished rental? Looking for something around 3.5-4k to not break the bank. So far only looking on air bnb and there are a couple options but not too much... We are considering anything within 20-25 commute to pearl and a decent area since I will be home while my husband is at work. Thanks in advance!

Im about 3 months into using my breville barista express and coffee is always pretty good but I have a feeling it could be better. Right now I’m at inner burr 3 grind 9. This was 18 g in and 35 out in 33 seconds. I tried my best to video while also running in manual mode so sorry for the shaky camera! Does this seem like channeling ? Or should my pressure be higher? I’m struggling with getting better mouth feel but any little tweak in grind I make it’ll end up either bitter or acidic. Could my prep be causing channeling ?? I try my best using wdt tool distributer and spring loaded tamper + puck screen but maybe I’m doing something wrong. Any advice is appreciated
