Help! I have no idea what to do. My eyebrows are totally different shapes

I have no idea how to do my eyebrows. They are completely different shapes and one of them seems way higher than the other. What do I do? How do I fix this?

Books like The Lamb

I love so many of the recommendations here but so far my favorite and the one I think on often is The Lamb. It was so tragic and sad and gory and personal that it’s been months and I still think on the final scenes.

Some of my other faves from here include:

  1. Dear Monica Lewinsky
  2. A Certain Hunger
  3. Alls Well
  4. Ones Company
  5. Victorian Psycho

I have already read Tender Is The Flesh as well.

Looking for positivity and success stories!

Hi everyone,

I am going in for my first IUI tomorrow morning. Here are the details.

33F have been trying for 10 cycles with 1 CP about 4 months ago. Short cycles (22-23 days) with a short luteal phase (8-10 days). High AMH (8.9). Low progesterone ~4.0. No other issues and have good thyroid, FSH, prolactin etc etc. My RE did a very extensive work up and it was very good overall. It is possible that my spironolactone usage has been suppressing my cycles but I’ve been off it around 50 days now. No male issues.

This is my first medicated cycle. Letrozole 7.5mg CD3-7. Ovidrel shot last night. Two dominant follicles at 20mm and lining was 11.49mm.

I’d love to hear everyone’s success stories and any positive vibes my way!

I thrifted this Agfa Selecta-M and have no idea how to use it

As the title states I thrifted this Agfa Selecta-M. I am in no way a photographer and have never used a film camera. I thought it looked cool and it was a good price ($30) and figured why not.

If anyone has any insight to getting started with this thing I’d appreciate it. I’ve already reached out to a local film lab near me to see if they can help but they’re closed on the weekends.

Both of these plus the flat top griddle for $50

Needed another Dutch oven for all of my sourdough baking adventures.

Got a red Misen with the flat top and the mini Martha Stewart 2QT for $50. Pretty hyped

Show me the difference between these two

I used Farmhouse Boone recipe . It’s the only one I’ve ever used and seems to do the job.

475g AP
100g starter
325g water
10g salt

Mix mix mix let stand for 30
3 rounds of stretch and folds with 30 min in between
I did a BF for about 5 hours (I live in South Florida and it was in the 90s yesterday)
Cold fermented overnight
Baked at 500 covered for 20 and 475 uncovered for 20

Voila!

Books where the main character is somewhat normal?

I know this might be the antithesis of weird girl and I LOVE the stalker narcissist main characters (A Good Person, Creep) but so many of these stories are about girls who are apparently not pretty, have one or no friends, and one male friend that really sees them cause they’re just so different (I.e. not like other girls)

Any weird girl books where the girl is seemingly normal. Like married maybe, has friends, close relationships, but is also weird?

POSITIVE HSG & SIS experience as an anxious girly

Hi everyone!

I know that this topic has been discussed ad nauseam but I wanted to add my story in case anyone is panic googling about HSG and SIS procedures looking for any sort of reassurance.

Disclaimer: no two experiences are alike but I want to share mine since I think there tends to be a skew to share negative experiences of things online instead of positive particularly in the TTC subs.

After 10 cycles TTC, one of which resulting in a CP, my husband and I decided to make an appt at a fertility clinic. As part of their work up plan they wanted me to get an SIS and an HSG. I was incredibly nervous and beside myself after this and sobbed the whole drive home from sheer terror because of what I’ve read online about these procedures.

On Monday I had a Sonohysterography (saline ultrasound). It was over before I even knew it started. I didn’t feel the catheter, didn’t feel the saline, didn’t mind the speculum. Not a single thing about it bothered me.

Today, Wednesday, I had a hysterosalpingogram or HSG. This is the one that is usually deemed as more painful as they inject you with dyes and it can cause intense pressure and mild to painful cramping. Again, I felt nothing and it was over before it started.

To prepare for these procedures I took 600-800mg of ibuprofen AND I let my doctors know I was scared as hell and if they had anything they could do to make this easier for me, please. They prescribed me two 1mg Xanax to take before my procedures and let me tell ya, they worked. I was cool as a cucumber.

I know my experience is mine alone. But I searched high and low for stories like this where it really is okay. I had normal work ups and no abnormalities and open tubes which may have contributed to my lack of uncomfortability. But moral of the story is, if you’re like me looking for a positive story, this is it.

Ask for help when you need it. Be transparent with the doctors. Prep your body. Drink water. And it’ll be over before you know it.

Looking for a yoga studio in the city

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a yoga studio, preferably NOT hot yoga. I have done Yoga Joint and while I love it for Fiit45 I don't think it's a very good yoga studio. I am still a beginner, but I like to do flows where the teachers offer corrections. I also like going to studios that have no mirrors because then I am only focused on my inner work and my breath rather than my body.

Thanks!
