Anyone had swimmers ear?

I finally had one after years of swimming. Just put on an antibiotic drop today after few days of uncomfortable and minor pain.

How long do you have to stop swimming before getting back?

And how do you prevent it next? Using earplugs?

Replayed Red alert 3 this month

And can’t believe how good it looks for a 18 year old plus game! Finally my pc can handle max settings since me from back then couldn’t afford such money for a PC.

Also shout out to steam for selling the whole collection.

Bought a gaming laptop so I could relive my childhood memories .

I tried the new RTS - Tempest Rising which got the inspiration from CnC. But felt it was too hard for me (allthough I’m the one getting old and rusty)

Got back to red alert 3 and it managed to scratch my RTS itch.

It ain’t much, but its something 🤲🏻

Started zwifting back in 2022 for my half ironman. After it was done, forget about it for 4 years .

Come today , decided to resubscribe after setting up a new trainer and bike for my full Ironman this year.

Gosh I miss the routes and zwift interface, just wished the price was a tad cheaper. But oh well.

What am i supposed to do with this place?

Just got to bleak beach (2nd island) after withered wastelands . After finishing up the snorlax quest, I move around and discovered this huge area. What do you guys do with this space?

I had this laptop for few weeks, help with stutters

Hey guys. I’m new to gaming laptops, at the time, decided to get this model based on my budget and how sleek it is.

Now everything is fine, but just 1 problem I might say

Sometimes, when i play tempest rising on high settings / medium settings, with DLSS on, it will give me some stutters every 5-7 seconds.

The game should run fine with this spec. I’ve played another game (old red alert 3 game) which runs perfect.

For newer games, what should I do to boost the performance to avoid stutters? I believe tempest rising is not a demanding game as much as other AAA titles.

Omen boost is on, omen performance is default, and windows at best performance. Got a cooling pad as well.

Is it the HP one agent? Or anything I’m missing?

Is it crazy to keep 2 laptops? 1 mac and 1 windows?

As per title.

Recently bought a macbook neo. Really loved it, light and easy to use. Its keyboard is even better than my windows laptop.

But here’s the thing, it can’t play games coming from a PC gaming background.

Am i crazy for keeping. 2 laptops, 1 for gaming and 1 for casual use (neo)?

I should sell off 1 , but the neo is too good that I hesitated to sell it.

What do you guys think?

New to indoor bike training. What should i focus on?

So I just got an indoor trainer at home. My cycling kinda average at the moment, so I want to improve that.

Previously I was just a weekend warrior - with 60-70km / week.

Now that I have an indoor trainer, I could potentially add 2 more days in my bike training.

For those 2 sessions in 1 week, what do you recommend? Is it interval? Or else?

I do have some time crunch so its about 1 hour per session at least (had to wake up 5am) in the morning.

Coming OD triathlon and full this end of year.

How long do you train to get comfortable in aero?

I tried my TT bike in 3-4 rides now (40-70km each), and Prolly I could hold only 60% ish of aero during the whole bike ride ? And can’t maintain the position for long.

Already did fitting. I guess it takes time to practice. But how long did it took for you to be comfortable?

Anyone ride with 0 gradient?

For those especially with a bad knee, do you ride with 0? I feel bad for making it “easy”, but last time having the gradient on 50% , sometimes will catch my knees .

Riding outside have no problems as you can compensate your body . Its just that these indoor rides having a fixed position caused sudden gradient changes to hurt.

First TT bike ride in years

Got a full IM coming late this year so had to try the TT bike. Previously just did a 70.3 with a roadbike.

Got a decent deal at the marketplace. With some tinkering around, finally managed my first ride today.

The handling is kinda twitchy and scary at first . But man after you get that sweet spot, its like all your focus went on the bike and all your troubles fade away. No matter what speed the other group riders are , its just you and your bike, no drafting involved.

For an introvert like me, this sport is a Godsend .

Suffered a bit on the bike but it was good fun for today. Looking forward to the next ride.

Cooked at bike leg during recent OD, how to improve?

I think I’m doing pretty decent at swim and run, but my bike is suffering.

I use a roadbike, and even though i went up the swim pretty early, I got caught by monsters cycling the bike at more than 40km/h. The best average I did was just 33km/h in the rolling course of the OD.

And my legs suffered as well, I know I can give it more during the run but the risk of cramping stopped me .

Got a decent 2:43 for the OD.

So now I identified one of my weakness is bike. My question is, how long and how often for me to realistically get that average 38-40km/h for the bike in OD?

Last picture of my cat before she went missing

I’m here to tell you that you need to love your cat everyday and not take them for granted.

While I’m busy with work, on this day I decided to play a while with my cat. Next thing I know, the next morning, she just went missing. Searched around the house, yards, neighbourhood, nothing . Sent a picture around the neighborhood, also nothing. Its like she vanished without a trace.

It’s been 1 week of her missing and I miss her a lot . She’s been with me since a kitten (8 months or something)

Done many OD’s and few 70.3 before.

For a full Ironman, would you find a Tri bike?

I have an endurance bike that I’ve used in coffee rides.

I did the 70.3 on an RB and it felt okay ish at the time.

Wondering if its a good investment or not. Looking for sub 14 / 13 finish . Felt 180km bike is a lot for a road bike .

I have been a big pokemon fan. Played ZA on my OLED . Decided to upgrade . The 60fps was nice.

Not a fan of builders game. But man, I fell to the hype, booted it up yesterday, as busy work made me want to just play a comfy game, and just wondered where the time went? Its crazy y’all. Suddenly its 12am and I had to sleep to work.
