was up to a very early chapter, but basically the premise was a world where only awakened people could see the monsters. the protagonist awakens and runs into a fish monster with hands protruding from its stomach which were used as legs. The fish monster goes after an unconscious guy and the protagonist manages to kill it by sticking a baseball bat into its gills, but then the man he saved gets up and doesn't remember anything. Then the ML comes and kills the protagonist a couple of times via his rewind time ability, by sticking his hand through his stomach when he arrived at his apartment door. There's also an incompetent government official, two children in the ML's guild, other guild leaders etc.

by the way am I allowed to say what site it was on because I know the site it just has a crap search system...

is bruiser (sundered, titanic etc etc) or carry (dusk dawn, kraken etc etc) a better build for both consistency and game impact? also does either build have significant downsides (eg. is bruiser heavily damage compromised and vice versa, is carry too squishy sometimes)?

- realistic game mechanisms and why the mc is op (I like op mcs but if he’s getting pentakills on an enchanter support at pro level… i’m an avid irl esports fan so there’s only so much suspension of disbelief happening)
- capable shou capable gong. I’d like if they were both skilled
- pls no shous that are cutesy and whiny to the gong and get carried (and vice versa. idm if one of them’s faking at the start due to novel premise but if its their real personality nah)
- no cutesy shous in general 🙏 personal preference
- if theres some competitive aspect to it that would be nice but I’m not against the gaming novels with streamers instead either

(super minor) SPOILERS AHEAD

ok so I read this like a year ago and I was halfway but dropped it because its genuinely just one of the most depressing books ever. I picked it up again from the start yesterday because I do really love the book, the concept, the main character and the barely there slowburn subplot romance, but genuinely the book describes so many terrible people and usually this wouldn’t faze me because well the genre is infinite flow, but because the MC and the Ronghua guild are such good people my heart hurts so much and I like can’t read it without getting depressed for a day.

TLDR Does it ever get better (sadness wise, not writing wise). Like is there a point the novel stops highlighting how awful and selfish people are and how it hurts the good people because I’d like to skip to whatever chapter that starts at pls TT

just did my test! started studying late (two weeks before my date) and got 1920 but i couldn’t reschedule because there were no spots left near me. cue two weeks and a lot of stress later, I pulled my score up by 500 in my official UCAT!

Hi im lwk kind of panicking right now so any advice would be amazing so my exam is in three days (i checked the rescheduling times, theres basically nothing left) and my DM and QR scores are both sub 800.

With DM, I’m struggling to keep high accuracy with syllogisms and inferences (I keep getting partial marks). For syllogisms, does everyone use diagrams and does it help with accuracy? I’d like to use diagrams but I never finish on time when I do.

With QR, I’m just so bad at unfamiliar question types it taks way too long for me to interpret them. Does anyone have advice on how to push QR timing in a really really short period of time?

Hi guys exam date relocation closes today in about three hours I started prepping properly maybe a week ago (i dont want to talk about it…) and theres ten days left till my exam. im on my school holidays rn which is why i booked the date i did so I could grind every day for the entire holidays but i procrastinated so long i’m wondering if I should just move my date back.

pros:
- more prep time

cons:
- id have to do less prep during the first few weeks of term due to IA3 finals hell
- ive got maybe a week after that until mock externals, which id have to sacrifice if i move my ucat

at the moment im averaging 80th percentile and I’m worried I won’t be able to pull it to at 95th in a week. advice? (also wondering if anyone else is in the same situation?)

I genuinely just don’t understand how a three time worlds winner with insane recent performance is never going to be selected for asia cup? like okay I acknowledge canyon is good but he and oner have pretty much been on par and especially recently, I feel like oner has been outperforming him. I went looking for official news to try to understand their decision, but I literally can’t find anything other than second hand info. I might be biased since oner is my favourite jungler but I’m actually so upset at the decision and can’t believe I’ll never see my favourite jungler at the asia games.

does anyone know where I can go to find the official criteria, which stats canyon outperformed oner on, panel statements on why canyon was the better choice, who the panel are and if it was literally just a decision based on numbers or if there was qualitative reasoning and discussion that concluded that canyon’s the better jungle - anything that could help me understand their decision?
