sooooo stoked on my new bike!!! can’t wait to get some km’s under my belt this beauty. eventually gonna get some 45mm tires to go with it as it comes stock with 42mm. bikepacking on the horizon with my partner as well. can’t wait! also, if anyone has a recommendation for a decent pair of bib shorts, i’m on the lookout!

hey r/bikewrench ! i recently ordered my first gravel bike, a devinci hatchet vista cues 10. it’ll be arriving any day now.

i’ve never put a bike together from ordering it online and have minimal experience with bike mechanics. do you think putting a bike together on your own is possible for someone who is a novice with tools? any advice would be super appreciated :)

p.s. i should have most, if not, all tools available to me at home. including a torque wrench. thank you so much!!

hey r/MTB! i picked up my first mtb about a week and a half ago! its a giant stance 29 2 and i’ve been having so much fun riding the local trails around me in Vernon, BC!

my question to you more advanced riders is how do you gain more confidence traversing technical terrain? is it just a time on the trail thing? technique? i’m highly motivated so will definitely be out there riding lots and perhaps that confidence will come with time, but also any tips would be highly appreciated! i also want to pick up more speed and improve my cornering. i find im riding the brakes pretty hard for most of my downhill - is this pretty common?
