It's 34 but the humidity makes it worse.
We are doomed, feels like summers

Today when I went to a shop for some vegetables I also wanted to buy some fruits but my regular fruit vendor was not there so I was waiting for him to arrive and this vegetable vendor tells me why am I getting fruits from this shop why am I not buying from the neighbouring shop, that guy sells them at a very high cost and quality is also not good I don't understand why you want to buy expensive when you can get it at the lower price and why you'll want to give such a guy business.
I told him I am buying fruits from him since long and the rates are nominal and the fruits are good as well but still he wouldn't stop
I got irritated and left from there and he told me all this after buying vegetables from him.
I didn't want to create a scene there because he was middle aged men and I guess he's form WhatsApp university.
I didn't understand why this guy has so much animosity towards this fruit fellow, but then i really, like really thought about it on my way back.
So this guy I buy fruits from is a Muslim and this guy who sells vegetables is a Hindu (from Maharashtra) and the guy he was telling me to buy fruits from is also a Hindu (from Maharashtra) so he wanted to know why me being a Hindu, why am I giving business to a Muslim.
Like what is my Goa come to. I was disheartened. I felt like running down some Municipality trucks over this guys shop. Like these people come to Goa and spoil our communal harmony and also want us to be a part of it.
So now I'm not giving my vegetable business to him anymore.
TLDR: Got an earful on why I am buying something from a Muslim instead of a Hindu as I am a Hindu.
It's ok if this post gets removed, i really wanted to rant
Edit: typos
Disclaimer : I am a Hindu so don't attack me in comments saying I am against the religion and all and yes I respect all religions (that's the way we are brought up in Goa)
So I was woken up by Aarti songs at 6am today, there is a sarvajanik Ganpati right next to where I live, now my question is why couldn't they start playing the aarti in full blast post 8am, what was the need to play it this early? Ganpati bi haduna aajun.
And please don't come to me with Azan logic, its daily at morning 5am i understand but that's what they do so that all our Muslim brothers and sisters can pray, if there was something similar for us I would understand but this - playing Aarti songs on full blast in early morning is something I can't wrap my head around.
I am religious but this showbazi of religion is not what I want.
My dad was diagnosed with PD 4 yrs ago. An accident led to the discovery of this, there were tremors on the right hand after covid which he ignored.
Initially the tremors were on the right side and now a few months back they are seen on the left side too.
They don't exercise, have stooped posture leaning towards one side, are reluctant to go to the doctor (to adjust Cardopa/levdopa or basic checkup atleast)
I feel so helpless, i stay in India and currently where we are based there is no PD focussed physio or any acticr support group (I'm not sure even if there was one he would have agreed)
I don't know how others are coping with this disease affecting their parent.
This disease is cruel and I pray and hope there comes a time where this disease can be reversed with pills etc.
No one should go through this.
Thanks for reading and sorry again for the rant.
As the title suggests, it's about a shop where people go when they want to commit su*cide. The shop displays different items that help customers end their lives in novel, artistic, or unique ways.
The main character is Alan who is kind of the black sheep of the family. Unlike his ultra-pessimistic family, Alan is very optimistic and always sees the bright side of things.
He wants to change the shop's purpose, to do away from providing su*cide tools and also try to bring his family together by converting it into a place that helps people find the courage and meaning to live.
Alan is always happy and believes there's a solution to everything.
His father Mishima makes him watch the news everyday, sends him away to suicide bomber squad so that he loses his optimistic side, but he remains the same, forever the optimist.
>!The ending was a total shocker to me. Alan had achieved everything he wanted, but he still let go. I'm not sure what the author was trying to convey here.!<
>!Was Alan depressed all along? Did he just want to fulfill that one goal and then give up? What was this all for?!<
I liked the book because it's pretty unique and well written apart from the ending.
This book was recommended by u/ultravioletgambit (they give out awesome recs btw!)
This was my first book by the author. There is another book by the author, Diary of a Void (debut) which I left after a few pages and maybe I shouldn't have.
So coming to the story, it's a bit absurd but interesting and I'm glad I read it.
So the MC, Hora works part-time in a freezer but also works as a Latin translator in a museum.
Her work entails speaking to Venus (statue)
Venus tells her about all the places she has been to, all the places in the sense the palaces, the officials who had had her in their house, but now she wants to explore the world.
Venus is also very irritated being looked at from dawn to dusk, and >!even the curator is a bit of a creep!<
>!So Hora, very slowly falls in love with Venus, sometimes I feel I should have been Pygmalion, I digress!<
So what happens next? >!Does Venus and Hora's love story become successful? !< for that you need to read the book!
It's a short one.
The movie is about a boy who has cerebral palsy. His mother is torn between her duties as a mother and being unable to accept the fact that she has a child with cerebral palsy. This is in contrast to his grandmother, who is very supportive of his dreams and always supports him to try something new and follow his goals. He tries to show his mother that he can be independent, despite his mom and other people constantly demoralizing him instead of motivating him
You cannot get through this movie without having tears in your eyes.
Jackson is an amazing actor and I would want to watch more of his movies
I carry grief within me,
I carry love.
I carry despair, desire, hate
All of this is me.
My grief is for the people I lost with time.
My love is for you.
My despair, for humanity.
My hate, for myself.
My desire... for you.
I carry grief within me,
I carry love.
I carry despair, desire, hate
All of this is me.
My grief is for the people I lost with time.
My love is for you.
My despair, for humanity.
My hate, for myself.
My desire... for you.
I carry grief within me,
I carry love.
I carry despair, desire, hate
All of this is me.
My grief is for the people I lost with time.
My love is for you.
My despair, for humanity.
My hate, for myself.
My desire... for you.
I carry grief within me,

Below is the English translation of the poem (known as ghazal in Hindi/Urdu)
The desires of my heart washed away in tears. Even after being faithful, I remained all alone.
Life reduced to an unquenched thirst. The stories of love remained incomplete.
"Perhaps this cruelty will be their last"—thinking this, I endured every suffering.
I destroyed myself completely, and yet the distances between us remained.
The one structure on the left seems to be a lighthouse, is the one in the sea also a lighthouse?
Or is it something else?
TIA
I watched this serial eagerly, inspector Bharat (Sudesh Berry) is no doubt a brilliant actor, no one can act like him.
Though the episodes are muted in places on YouTube maybe because of copyright music.
Nvm, the episodes are refreshing even now and dare I say better than CID.
It had all famous and successful actors and actresses in it.
Also it shows the old Bombay in some scenes and it looks uncrowded and serene
So today i was watching the serial and came across an episode where an actress resembled Preity Zinta.
Googled alot and got to know her name, Barkha Madan.
Many of the actors keep coming up in several other episodes.
Btw I was shocked to know that she left the glamour world and became a monk.
Mods, please don't remove the post.
This is for an examination, i don't really understand how a post like mine gets removed but some ghati tourists posting beach or food photos get approved.
Anyways.
This is regarding Goa Teacher Eligibility Test.
Hi, do any of you have question papers and/or notes pertaining to Paper II for Goa TET?
Dev bore koru!
Here's the article, I couldn't post the youtube video by CBCTrueCrime as my earlier post got removed
There was an investigation done on the couple by Chloe Hadjimatheou who wrote the book The Salt Path, there are lies not only the part on how the house was taken away but also the rare neurological disease they mention here , the husband did not suffer from this (only good thing that came out of this book is that people got to know about this rare disease).
Also the historic walk the book is centred around is in question
They have published more and one was underway.
The book publisher should really vet memoirs before publishing, they have the means to do that.
The book revolves around a murder that took place 5 years ago.
Lucy is allegedly suspected to have killed her best friend Savannah aka Savvy, but she wasn't arrested due to inconclusive evidence.
She leaves the town eventually to start anew and settles in LA.
She keeps having monologues with herself (which mostly revolve around killing the person she is talking to with any objects that are around her)
She doesn't have any memory of the night the murder took place, of what exactly happened after the wedding they attended.
Everyone believes she i.e Lucy has murdered Savvy but her grandmom, her Grandma is very cool and hip (hope we could be this cool now and later)
They share a very good rapport (and love) with each other, she is the main reason this case gets solved.
The case gets solved with the help of a podcaster Ben ( similar to like Murders in the Building netflix series)
The end disclosure or memory revelation was something I didn't anticipate.
The dialogues and insults are well written, also the flow is good and nowhere I was bored and felt like giving up.
I was falling in love with Lucy because of the interesting and amusing internal dialogues with herself >!and Savvy!<.
Her conversation with her Grandma and family is also comedic.
Though one thing haunts me. >!Why did everyone think she did it, even her own parents is beyond me (Matt I can understand as he was abusive and he had seen Lucy getting back at him when he was being abusive)!<
If you are looking for a humorous thriller this can be your next read!
