1.5 year on t, 80 lbs down

first pic is from today, second pic was april of 2025. just wanting to share my progress (:

i am on mounjaro, i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at 24 years old. both my parents have had heart attacks, and i genuinely believe this medication is helping keep the diabetes and other ailments at bay, as my A1C is 5.2. i'm so grateful to be on this medication, and it has helped me get healthier and start my journey to becoming more healthy.

proud to be a masculine enby!! if anyone has any questions, i'd be happy to answer 🥰

from the bay yesterday - jersey shore

first photo is my swollen ankle/foot, believe the bite itself is by my tattoo on the flamingo leg. second photo is a reference for my other foot (unswollen).

was at the beach by the bay at the jersey shore, got a glimpse of the bug and it didnt look like a horse fly, not sure what it was. when should i go to the doctor (or if i should). hope the swelling goes down!!

music that's brakence-adjacent

i saw someone post the other day regarding looking for music similar to brakence's. there was a comment that recommended the artist hayes howard. his album "javelin"... holy shit it's incredible. i don't think his music is necessarily similar to brakence, but it's strangely hopeful and the production is BEAUTIFUL. this album has been on repeat for like 2 weeks, i'm obsessed. this album is deep and vulnerable and i believe this work of art is some of the best i've heard.

it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, it took me a few listens through to click, but i'm absolutely hooked. thank you to that commenter for posting about this album and i hope you all can give it a listen!! he deserves a million more listeners than he has now fr

worried about fiss :/

pic of my baby resting on a plate of food 6 hours post-op. amputation of her left hind leg, doc believes is a soft tissue sarcoma. the lump came out of nowhere last tuesday, and we scheduled a vet visit for last friday, now she has 3 legs as of today.

doc said the tumor was very very aggressive, but they were able to remove the entire thing with 2 cm margins. they wanted to take more, but the placement wasn't good and they couldn't take more than what they already did. now it's a waiting game to confirm the type of cancer with a biopsy. i am beyond nervous it's going to be an injection site sarcoma. i have no idea what i'm gonna do. i'm so scared for her and so scared that the cancer will come back and take her from me.

any bit of reassurance will be gladly appreciated. i love my girl so much and would do anything for her, but her quality of life is the most important. i will be anxiously waiting the results and hoping with all my might for some positive news. thank you all for your kindness and love 🫶🏻

upcoming surgery - nervous!!

here's my 7-year old baby, Kibben! she has a cancerous tumor on her hind left leg, she's scheduled for amputation on monday and they'll be sending the leg to get biopsied to see what kind of cancer it is/if it'll spread to anywhere else.

what are some things myself and my partner should expect? she's a tiny baby, around 7 pounds. very rambunctious and active too! doctor seems optimistic about her recovery, but unsure of her prognosis, as we wait for the cancer biopsy to come back. send her some well wishes!! i love my baby 💜

almost 2 years post op FHO surgery - issues commencing

hello!! posting for some advice regarding my cat Kibben (7 year old female calico). she had femoral head ostectomy surgery in january of 2025, as she was limping and the vet said that there was a lot of damage from a previous injury that we had no idea about (she is a very rambunctious, 6 pound cat). she healed really well and was having no issues at all until today.

the site in which she got the surgery on the left hip is really swollen and she's limping pretty bad. i have a vet appointment scheduled for friday morning to get her in as soon as i could around my work schedule. she's eating and drinking, using the bathroom, and hopping up on things fine. i did the feline grimace test, she doesn't seem to be in pain, unless she's hiding it exceptionally well. could it be a tumor or arthritis? im worried about the swelling. thank you all in advance, i will post an update after the appointment on friday 🫶🏻

anyone else very jumpy with loud noises?

howdy!! just felt the need to come on here and ask this. i LOVE scary movies, they're so fun and i love seeing them in the theatre. however, i spend a lot of the movie with my fingers in my ears because the jumpscare noises make me jump almost out of my skin (it's so embarrassing around other ppl in the theatre). im going to be buying loop earplugs or something similar so i can enjoy the scary movies a bit more. i can tolerate the jumpscare, just not the loud instrumental that comes with the jumpscare (i know thats part of what makes a jumpscare a jumpscare LOL). anyone else with OCD feel this way too?

im usually fine at concerts or other loud events, but when it's not an anticipated loud, consistent noise (like dropping something on the floor), i jump so hard i start to get tears in my eyes. just thought this was interesting and i don't know if anyone else experiences this!! hope everyone is well!!

interview coming up - advice needed

hi everyone!! i have an interview coming up next week for assistant director of student engagement, i am BEYOND excited and truly believe this opportunity will open up so many doors for me. i am currently a student life coordinator with almost 5 years of experience working with clubs, campus events, orientation, commencement, and marketing. this role will help me grow more in my field and help me continue do what i believe i do best.

does anyone have any inkling on the type of questions they may ask or things i should make sure to touch on in the interview? im freshening up on knowledge about the campus, the job description, and anything else i may need to know. i know i am more than capable to do this job and this would be an amazing opportunity for me, i want to be the most prepared i can be! thank you so much in advance! 😊
