hi i made a post on here a while ago about not getting any job interviews as a new grad. it’s been awful and i feel like im making no progress in ontario. over 50 applications with no responses. my dad even told me to legally change my name in case its because of discrimination.
i received a call from a recruitment firm that finds opportunities for nurses and helps them with the relocation/visa. they let me know the only position they have for new grads is a med surg unit in alabama.
a goal for me has always been to move to the US, hopefully Florida. i dont know how to feel. i started applying to jobs here over 2 months ago. is this a good opportunity ?
i took 2 hours cleaning these and they’re not really the same size. no cracks, but did i sand them too much?
i’ve applied to about 50 jobs now. haven’t gotten a single interview.
i did my preconsolidation and consolidation in ICUs, I was also an extern for 2 years in the ICU.
I was actually interviewed for my consolidating unit, but I was so nervous i couldn’t even get words out. i obviously didn’t get the job. i missed simple things like getting a chest x ray for pneumonia and skin color changes in decreased o2 sats. i felt so dumb.
i have applied to every unit i can find including med surg but nothing. how long is usual to hear back from hospitals? it feels hopeless and its worse because im so poor after paying for this license as well 😪 it feels like i worked so hard to start in icu, gave everything i had to that placement and really had the chance but i failed it.
few weeks of applying no interviews :( don’t know if it’s the job market or something i can change with my applications! pls help
I got my ATT on the 8th, started studying on the 9th, and took it on the 18th. I was always hoping someone would share their scores so i could feel more prepared, so here’s mine if you are interested !
The first pic is my CAT exams. Those were way harder than the test imo..
my first readiness with the High was 3 days into studying. I took the second and third 4 days and 2 days before my exam and got 2 very highs (gave me a lot more confidence)
I also listened and followed along with notes for 10 Mark K lectures, and watched Dr Sharon’s 50 meds to know for NCLEX. I watched Dr sharon vids literally the day before and the day of my NCLEX, and so many of the meds ended up showing up, I was so happy I watched it so i greatly recommend!!
how long do i wait to do the pearson vue trick???
i honestly dont feel that bad about it, but there were some questions that i felt like dying lol
I was crashing out and spamming CATs. I kept getting high 60 low 70s, but i got high on my first readiness assessment last week and after a lot more review, scored very high today.
Which is a better indicator? Can i pass my exam in 3 days?? I’m so stressed i keep wanting to push it back 🥲
i graduated and never used one .. don’t waste your money!!!
all information is available online, readings are often uploaded by the prof. slideshows are the most important.
i wasted 400 dollars in chemistry textbooks before switching to nursing and i didn’t make that mistake again
!
(i know gown are rental) i wanna decorate my cap but we are gonna receive it day of? awh
i have my convocation next month and i want a nice fitted dress like ones from babyboo but not 400 dollars 😭 anyone know good online or in person shops (ontario) that i can find smth similar to this?
