Old man getting back into riding

It’s been about 5 years but I decided to get back on the bike.

Anyone have a recommended shop in the area? It’s a naked so I can likely do all my own maintenance but a place that can flash my ecu once I throw some pipes on or help with suspension setup.

I ride an mt09.

I used to ride sport bikes for 22 years and this is my first time on a standard / naked. Just getting my sea legs back after some miles 💪🏾

I also know literally one person on two wheels, so I’d love to learn of any meets in the area or smaller group rides.

Ride safe everyone!

Thunk sound at low speeds?

Happens around 11s and again shortly after. I’m pulling the front brake. Clutch is in. I have no idea what it could be.

Officially joined the club!

Absolutely love the bike. Thanks to those that weighed in on this deal, which makes it that much more awesome.

MT09 SP Questions

I read the posts and the reviews. I think I’m going to love the MT09 SP.

But I also haven’t ridden in 4 years. I started riding 22 years ago on sport bikes. 636, zx6r, cbr600rr … then during a move someone tried to steal my bike and insurance totaled it due to frame damage. That was 4 years ago. I haven’t ridden since.

Is this too much bike for me?

I plan on riding backroads and 0-1 track days a year.

For those that have it, what are your pet peeves about it, if you have any?

Recommendations for a good moto mechanic?

I am considering getting a midlife crotch rocket. Are there any awesome mechanics in the area you guys would recommend?

Delta AI agents are awful

Long story short, we had a flight which we had to cancel and reschedule same day due to a family emergency. Delta agent over chat tried to charge us $7000 for the trip. It was allegedly a human named “Daina”

Same flight on the app at that time was $2k round trip. We were able to get on a call with an agent who was kind and rebooked our existing flights that we canceled … not all heroes wear capes but delta should check their ai agents and honestly reconsider using them at this point.

Edit: I took the screenshot of the chat once I arrived at a destination, I was driving.
