My new to me RTO bike

Flat bar conversion complete, I had a lot of extra parts. This only cost me about 100 bucks all in… Only because I charge myself a beer for cutting down the handlebars.

Is there a way to report people who park in the bike lane?

I had an earlier post warning people about return to work… Today was my first day riding in after the order became mandatory. Two cars were parked in the bike lane so I took photos, but I'm not sure how to report them or if it even matters.

BOTH RESPONSES:

Your Parking Enforcement request has been completed.

A Parking Enforcement Officer arrived at to find that the vehicle(s) reported were no longer on the scene.

If you see this violation again, please let us know so we can respond.

Thank you,
The City of Sacramento

Return to office traffic

I work for the State and as most of you know, we will be going back in the office four days a week. I typically ride my bike to the office a few days a week now and I see the level of traffic increasing and it's more dangerous in my opinion.

So starting in July, please be more mindful, especially on city streets in Midtown and downtown Sacramento!

Freeloading Pommie

At 15+ he'll walk to the coffee shop but not back... I'll carrying him anywhere - he's my partner in crime

We have similar trucks but…..

His is a real off-road warrior, this trip contains 180 miles of dirt road. Mine braves the mall parking lot… and hauls my bikes around!

Caught red handed

She has to contort to eat out of our Pommie’s bowl….. this time she pushed it partially out from under the table.

Pomeranians are relationship tests

If you introduce your Pommie to someone and they don't immediately fall in love, tell them to go fly a kite

She won't sleep anywhere else

To put it in context, mommy's been gone for a few days. Her tummy is upset she's not eating and she sleeps at the top of the stairs to the master bedroom, waiting for mommy to come home. I don't know what to do for her we go for walks. She seems happy but acts like she's heartbroken at times.

Is this chain stretch?

Full disclosure I've been a cyclist since the age of 10 so basically 51 years. I've never run into this, or at least I've never noticed. I think the way the chain hangs off of the chain ring indicates that it stretched.

I do not want a hydraulic disc road bike

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my 2016 SLR0, it's probably one of the finest road bikes I've ever ridden. My mountain bike and my gravel bike both have hydraulic disc in a huge pains in the butt.

In 2016 I nearly died due to a carbon component failure, it was a fork. That's what's driving the replacement now with this older carbon bike. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of options unless I find some new old stock frame somewhere.

Who I wake up to

As soon as he sees me awake, he leaves the foot of the bed and snuggles. Makes it hard to get out of bed, doesn't it?

Luna before and after

It's near the end of the school year so we take our Pomeranian and Husky to visit the fourth graders that my wife teaches. The first photo is on the way there - the second photo was on the way home. I think she was relieved she didn't go to the veterinarian.
