No rehire as of 2026

If you are fired for performance on or after January 1 2026 you are ineligible for rehire indefinitely. No cool off period of 6 to 12 months anymore. At least that’s what I was told by HR today. Is this stated anywhere in the new Employee handbook?

How do you handle 2 orders on different apps at the same time?

I have tried this a few times over the last few days an Uber Eats order will come in and as I’m otw to it a DD order will come in. I usually either pause doordash or go offline on Uber if I’m taking one or the other but I’ve taken a few at the same time. Almost always someone is getting their order later than expected especially if the deliveries are so far away from eachother. I think I’m done w doing that bc I find it too stressful but does anyone else find it worth it? Uber Eats will send you on a delivery to the sticks while DoorDash tries to stay in a certain area.

Dash in

Filled up my tank on August 5th and it was around $46 and some change. On my credit card statement it is showing as $200. I saw it pending a few days ago and figured it was a hold of some kind and would adjust. Today I check and it cleared $200 no adjustment. What the hell is that? I know I need to call my card about this but has anyone else experienced this?

SD card for play

Is there any way to get a SD card in FAT32 with more than 16GB that the play would be able to read? Being able to load more than one sound pack at a time would really make this thing fun.

Want to try Uber driving again

I used to do uber from 2014 up until 2020. I am thinking of doing rides or possibly just deliveries again. I am hesitant to do rides again bc my rating is 4.75 currently. Are passengers likely to cancel if they see that? If I do rides again I will be committed to make sure I have everything I need to get nothing but 5 stars only from passengers. Could deliveries help bring your ratings up first maybe?

Offer or rejection?

Recruiter from US bank reached out in the final stages after interviews to schedule a call about hiring managers decision. I am thinking/hoping this is an offer but don’t want to get my hopes up for nothing. It is a 45 minute call. I can’t think they are blocking off 45 minutes to reject someone. But want to see what others think. Thanks

Zoom interview shirt

For Zoom interviews, is a short sleeve shirt with a collar, either a polo or button up acceptable? I normally go for long sleeve button up but am wondering if short sleeve would be considered underdressed. Most of my wardrobe is short sleeve so it would open up possibilities

Can a shot of espresso sub for coffee extract in something like an ice cream recipe?

Came across a coffee ice cream recipe and have everything except for coffee extract but wondering if that same amount of espresso could serve as that. Seeing as a shot is “extracted” I’m wondering if a heavy ratio shot could suffice

Is it a good move to reach out to a venue about a sold out show?

Looking at the calendar at a local venue and can see there is a show that is already sold out but there’s only one band playing. Would it be a bad move to ask to hop on as an opener? Is it also a bad move to even ask if it’s a good idea? lol

syndicated closer vs post close servicing

I am currently on the job hunt and have 6 years mostly post close loan servicing experience . I am getting turned down for syndicated loan closer roles left and right. If you know post close servicing for banks you work closely with closers on the deals to make sure their portion is complete so you can complete yours. 6 years of experience doing this aren't the skills translatable? They always say they need someone with end to end experience with closing. is it worth it still trying to look in this direction or is it a lost cause? why wouldn't they want someone on the post close side to bring in a different perspective?

Regions bank corporate banking group loan fulfillment analyst

What are some things I could say to really stand out in this interview? I definitely have the experience they are looking for. I know they are probably going to ask behavioral “tell me about a time” questions which i preparing for. Coming from mostly commercial banking and this position being in corporate banking, I want to be able to speak the language while also explaining why my background is a good fit.

Coffee beans Brazil

Any coffee shops in Charlotte carry Brazil beans and would do a bulk order of a few pounds? I usually order from Enews in Boone but it looks like they are not carrying it at the moment. I know Enderly has beans from Brazil but I don’t think they are from the same suppliers either that or the ones I’ve gotten from them are not as fresh.

[6Yoe. unemployed, mid Sr to VP level, Commercial banking]

Overall, my plan at this time is this: Targeting role involving deal portfolio management as admin agent interfacing directly with borrowers in syndicated loan space, leverage my experience to do well, build trust, and eventually advance into a role such as VP. Places I am targeting but have not gotten a chance to interview yet: Captial One and BofA. Currently waiting on a final decision from JPMC for ABL origination associate, but it has been two weeks. They are the only interview I have had that has any legs at all.

Alternatively am looking to break into finance analyst for tech, compliance, AML if possible. I do not have any formal credit training but it is something I am looking into to potentially add a certification or two. Ideally I want to minimize the amount of auto rejects I have been getting and wondering if there is anything on my resume that could be causing that. Thanks!
