Regions bank corporate banking group loan fulfillment analyst

What are some things I could say to really stand out in this interview? I definitely have the experience they are looking for. I know they are probably going to ask behavioral “tell me about a time” questions which i preparing for. Coming from mostly commercial banking and this position being in corporate banking, I want to be able to speak the language while also explaining why my background is a good fit.

Coffee beans Brazil

Any coffee shops in Charlotte carry Brazil beans and would do a bulk order of a few pounds? I usually order from Enews in Boone but it looks like they are not carrying it at the moment. I know Enderly has beans from Brazil but I don’t think they are from the same suppliers either that or the ones I’ve gotten from them are not as fresh.

Compliance / treasury

Is it a good move for someone with a background in primarily commercial banking deal portfolio management to break into compliance or treasury roles? What are skills hiring managers typically look for in candidates?

[6Yoe. unemployed, mid Sr to VP level, Commercial banking]

Overall, my plan at this time is this: Targeting role involving deal portfolio management as admin agent interfacing directly with borrowers in syndicated loan space, leverage my experience to do well, build trust, and eventually advance into a role such as VP. Places I am targeting but have not gotten a chance to interview yet: Captial One and BofA. Currently waiting on a final decision from JPMC for ABL origination associate, but it has been two weeks. They are the only interview I have had that has any legs at all.

Alternatively am looking to break into finance analyst for tech, compliance, AML if possible. I do not have any formal credit training but it is something I am looking into to potentially add a certification or two. Ideally I want to minimize the amount of auto rejects I have been getting and wondering if there is anything on my resume that could be causing that. Thanks!

Anyone here happen to have any connections with commercial banking departments at Capital One, BofA, SMBC in Charlotte NC? Been applying since March with not much luck been able to get interviews at other places but I would say these three are big targets for me at this time.

Thanks

I worked at JPM in commercial banking group in 2023 on contract and I did not convert to full time once my contract was up. I was never told directly but I believe if my manager at the time was asked about my performance they might have some things to say idk. I just recently interviewed for ABL group and they asked who my old manager was and I mentioned them and they knew who it was. Is it possible they asked about me and he influenced their decision?

Was certain I’d get the call on Friday I’m hoping there’s a chance it comes tomorrow but no one has reached out with any kind of update yet I feel like both interviews went well.

Currently in between jobs atm and am wondering if it is worth applying for a sound engineer gig if I don’t have audio experience anywhere on my resume. I have played in bands throughout the years and am currently in one. Ofc I know that also doesn’t make me an expert! I really want the gig bc it sounds like it would be ongoing, the venue is different from where I normally play, and would be great to make some connections. Job description even says I would need to workout backup on days I couldn’t make it and I have friends who def run sound who I could put on too so that might help? Wondering how I should ultimately proceed.

I was terminated in March from corporate banking position and made ineligible for rehire. I had been with this team 6 months after being promoted. I was already at Wells for two years prior. I came into the new team with an inconsistently meets rating from my previous manager. I was given that rating bc everyone on my team could not be given a meets and some new people had to take the L. I was given another IM rating on this new team for more legit reasons and was terminated for that. I’ve spoken to my previous manager and they have said they would change the rating if asked about it and offered to vouch for me in any way. I have a call with HR on Monday does anyone think I could have a chance? I’ve spoken to two previous managers total who said they would vouch for me any way they could
