In Next 2 Month My Contract will End, Need genuine advice from you guys.
Hi People, So my contract will be completed in next 2 month at my current employer. I'm certain that I'll be retained, There is 2 way for it either they will renew my contract or hire me as permanent employee but since I'm too young they'll probably renew my contract for cost cutting type of thing you know.
So My question is that when I was approached by them last year I asked for 40% Hike of my Previous CTC but they only gave me 20% also the company is one of highly company in it's respective aspect. And I have never work on this level before so they told me that we will only give you 20% Hike and its like a opportunity for me make a boost my career and skill by learning here, So I had to agree with 20%.
In next 2 month whenever they will renew my contract so how much increment I can ask for. Although, I'm planning to ask btwn 30-40% but when I asked my colleague's who are here since while they told me you will not get this much hike under renewing contract.
So is it possible I can still get my expectation somehow? cause I don't know the Hike thing of these big companies and I just want to make sure that I'm not underpaid.
