Was always really happy with my Ryder.

Here's my envoy. I tried to go for an officer-class Indian look. Soldier background. Fought with spear, shield, and pistol the whole way through.

The Tigrin Gladius is a gladiator-salamander species for my homebrew world of Asundra. He's got some cool finesse attacks and a bite that causes a bleed. But I think the best part of the design is the extra reactions based on when he's caused a bleeding injury.
