1967 Toyota Crown S40 Wagon/Van. (Possibly what was called a Masterline?) Unregistered since 2005, so off the road for at least 21 years. 61 000 km, if it hasn't rolled over. Been the part of a private collection for some years, it's was auctioned off along with various vintage trucks. It was bought by a dealership on the other side of the country sight unseen, and they're now trying to flip it. I most likely know more about it than the seller by now.

Also, why isn't there an S40 flair?

Any recommendations on good automatic transmission parts? Or any brands to stay away from?

I bought a Pajero with an automatic transmission with a slipping reverse gear. I have abandoned all plans to swap in a manual, so I think I'll try to fix the stock one. Do you have any recommendations on where to get parts? Or just the standard places like Partsouq? Preferably in Europe, but I'm prepared to have to order from overseas. Thanks!

Posted a picture of a dealerships 250 and FJ Cruiser. Got an (expected) comment about the lack of real Land Cruisers. Well, try and say that now!

Ha!

What do I need to swap an automatic transmission to a manual one?

I recently purchased a 1994, gen 2 Pajero with an automatic. It is tired and worn, so it doesn't start to reverse until it gets pretty high RPMs. I prefer a manual anyway, so what do I need to prepare myself for a swap? The transmission is a given of course, but how much wiring do I need to change? Sensors etc.? And the clutch? I assume I would need a flywheel, the pedal and the linkage, the slave cylinder etc. Or do I simply try to make the auto work?

Any help is appreciated! I'm in Europe, so the manual is by far the more common transmission, so parts *should* be available.

I might have found a car that looks cuter than a Twongi. Meet my newest dream car, a Nissan Sunny AD wagon!

Look at it! It's like someone put googly eyes on a car! It's so cute!

Manhole cover came loose along with the rim and patches of asfalt

For those that have an irrational fear of manhole covers. I could clearly see the water ~6 meters below.

Well, it happened to me. How fucked am I?

Brand new tire, put it on a month ago. The nail was in till the black mark. Do I change them rightaway, or are they OK to use at max 80kmh?

I just saw a student driver in a Peugeot RCZ (artists impression below)

Do you think they know they won life?

This was not something I considered as a possibility, so I just went about installing everything as usual. The first sign of trouble was the disc touching the brake pad carrier. Took everything off again, put the wheel on, and was met with pretty excessive camber.

No-one at the shop has even seen this before. It's unclear just how long the driver continued on the broken bearing for this to happen, but this is not usual.
