Aventura total, iría a Africa, seguramente Gambia.

Otra realidad, iría a China, tanto grandes ciudades como turismo rural.

Algo guapo cerca, iría Suiza y Noruega.

Family plan for classic

Hello all, I have a wife and two sons, 6 and 9 almost ten.

I played wow. We played wow with my wife also, classic, very good experience.

The little boy knows about wow, but not really. But.. the other day I discovered something that could be good. I tell them; what if we get 4 wow accounts and use the pc’s around the house, and we play all together wow!.

Haha, that’s what I wanted to share. That’s what I want to do.. probably someday.

Luna is the new Default.

TL;DR: at the end of the post.

After burning through all my accumulated resets in a single week with Sol, adding a second Plus subscription, and then trying to make Luna work, this is my conclusion:

Sol is absolutely brilliant, ironically enough, but it burns through tokens at a savage rate.

I keep trying to make Terra work for me, but I’m not there yet.

Luna, on the other hand, feels like the practical default, the equivalent of the standard model we had a few months ago. It isn’t remotely comparable to Sol. It struggles more with prompts, has less context and broader vision, and makes more mistakes. It basically feels like going back four months, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

You have to work a little harder, be more explicit, and tweak things more often to get what you need, but its token consumption is negligible compared with the other models.

My guess is that Luna may introduce a little more technical debt, especially when it comes to architecture and the overall direction of a project. But it doesn’t seem like anything that couldn’t be corrected with one or two passes of Sol Medium every now and then.

This is a completely subjective opinion.

I should also add that it's not the same for all projects. Luna is working well for a project that's already mature, with months of work underway. For another project where I'm not so interested in the details and simply want results, I haven't even considered switching from Sol because of how quickly it progresses with very little input from me.

Have fun out there.

TL;DR: Luna is the practical, token-efficient choice for mature projects. Sol is far more capable and progresses much faster with minimal input, but burns through tokens at a brutal rate. Terra still hasn’t clicked for me.

Old new setup

I had the laptop on the right in its box for two weeks because it wasn't what I ordered (I needed a 14-inch one for traveling and working remotely).

Today I finally accepted it, assuming I'll end up paying for the 14-inch one I need soon. The one on the left is a few years old; it's more powerful than the new one but has a worse screen. The monitors at the top are 10 years old; they don't look great, but they'll do. I made the stands myself, also 10 years ago.

The best thing about it all is having installed PowerToys and being able to use the same mouse and any of the keyboards for everything.

Sobre la final

Mi mujer es española. Yo uruguayo.

TIFU by getting way too comfortable at a wedding hotel

A few days ago, my wife, our son and I travelled to Crete for some friends’ wedding, which took place yesterday around midday.

That morning, we drove across the island to the hotel where the bride and groom were staying while they got ready, because my wife was going to have her hair done by the same hairdresser who was doing the bride’s hair. We arrived at the hotel, I said we were there for my friend’s wedding — although the wedding itself wasn’t at the hotel — they opened the barrier for us, we parked, and at that exact moment the bride sent us the room number where they were.

The rooms were like little apartments, each one with its own small pool and patio. Really beautiful. When we got to the apartment where the bride was supposed to be, before we had fully identified which one it was, we were looking around a bit, and at that exact moment a cleaning lady came out of the apartment opposite us, saw us, and told us to go upstairs. At the same time, my wife had already located the bride’s apartment.

So I went upstairs to the groom’s apartment with my son, and my wife went into the bride’s apartment.

There was nobody in the groom’s apartment, but there were suitcases and backpacks from more than one person. Since it was quite an international wedding, I assumed there were more people like us, coming from far away, in a similar situation. After being on the terrace for a bit, my son got bored, so I put YouTube on the TV for him. I made myself a tea. Since there was nobody there, I didn’t hold back too much and cleaned my ears with some cotton buds I found in an open toiletry bag. I also cleaned my son’s ears.

About half an hour later, some other guests arrived. I was sitting on the sofa. I said hello, but I didn’t feel there was any real need to formally introduce myself. They said hello too, picked up a few things, and left again. I just carried on doing my thing, looking at Reddit.

After a while, my wife called me and asked me to bring her makeup from the car, so my son and I went down to get it. When we came back to the bride’s room, I found the groom outside with two photographers, giving some instructions, and my wife was in the groom’s room, where she had apparently left some other makeup bag or something.

My son ran to hug the groom, and by the time I got there, my wife was looking at us from the doorway, waiting for me to give her the makeup.

So I told the groom that we had been waiting in his room, and also mentioned that we would probably book a room ourselves so we wouldn’t have to drive after the wedding. The thing is, when I said that, he looked a bit confused and told me the number of his room.

Now I was also confused, and my wife was still looking at us from upstairs.

Then the groom saw my wife, looked back at me, and said, “That’s not my room.”

He quickly went upstairs to check it, almost as if he himself was suddenly doubting which room was actually his, and we all came out of there laughing and completely confused.

I couldn’t believe it.

My wife told me that while she was in there, someone had arrived, asked her if anyone else had come, and she said she didn’t know, then just carried on doing her thing. Whoever it was looked for something in a backpack, said goodbye, and left.

From that moment on, I didn’t go into any other room. In fact, I stayed as far away as possible from all the rooms.

A while later I saw the guy who had come in while I was there going back upstairs, but the whole thing had been so surreal that I didn’t dare say anything. I just wanted my wife to finish doing her makeup so we could get out of there.

We ended up booking a room for the night at another hotel.

Note: I originally wrote this story in Spanish and used ChatGPT to translate it into English.

TL;DR: I accidentally made myself comfortable in a stranger’s hotel room before a wedding, thinking it was the groom’s room. I drank tea, put YouTube on for my son, used their cotton buds, and only realized the mistake when the actual groom told me that wasn’t his room.
