Bay Beach - Summer/Holiday rush?

Planning a trip. Was told a few hours is plenty.

How crowded does the park get on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and weekends in general?

Is two days enough for Bay Beach?

Planning a trip with the family (wife + two gradeschoolers). Is two days enough if our focus is mostly Bay Beach?

From r/GenX: Autism has been a recognized medical condition for decades but seldomly diagnosed until recently, do you remember any people back then who'd probably be labeled autistic today?

As the title says.

There has been a broadening of ASD criteria, most notably the merging of Autism, Asperger's, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder into "ASD" or Autism Spectrum Disorder. There is also increased recognition of masking, prevalence in females, as well as general familiarity with neurodivergence as a whole.

Went to an ENT who said they didn't see anything. As we all know, not seeing tonsil stone does not mean they don't exist. I have very deep crypts in my tonsils, and I know there are stones preset.

Waterpik was way too painful. Syringe doesn't seem to have enough volume. Gag reflex also comes into play.

I have looked into the Aqua Clean Duo, but I am open to other suggestions as well.

Diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnolence, ADHD, and also work shifts. I was told IH can be mistaken for ADHD so it is unclear where one begins and one ends. Regardless, I was given 200mg Modafinil daily.

Modafinil has helped me feel awake, but has not done much for "getting started" or motivation if that makes sense. I still procrastinate, etc. However, when I decide to do something, I get it done.

One thing I have noticed is that when I stop taking Modafinil, I get major cravings, particularly for carbohydrates. Has anyone else felt similar?

I will start by saying that I am asexual myself.

Here is how I see this issue - I don't think there is anything wrong with people checking hormones to rule something out.

Hormones are not just related to sexual function and libido. Estrogen, Progesterone, and Testosterone (not a full list of hormones to test) can affect mood, concentration, energy, and numerous biochemical pathways in the body.

If someone does have a hormonal problem, it is generally in their interest to get it addressed, whether they are asexual or allosexual.

Now, if an ace person does this and has acceptable levels and is \*told\* to take more/less hormones to "fix" them, that's a whole different issue (unacceptable, unless they consent).

Note, I initially had "unacceptable" and later changed "unacceptable" to "unacceptable unless they consent". If an asexual person feels any sort of treatment (hormonal, etc) helps them, that's different. I recall listening to an interview with an ace person (I think Angela Chen actually) who said (paraphrased) "if an ace person feels hormones help them enhance their health or sex lives, that isn't necessarily a problem if they want to do it"
