Insta360 Studio desktop app update has baffling changes (v6.0.2 on MacOS)

What in the world were they thinking?

  • There's no longer a list view, so I can't see the capture date/time.
  • It resets your view every time you switch photos. I'm trying to compare several similar photos but it's facing the wrong direction every time I click between them.
  • Text throughout the entire interface is truncated unnecessarily ("Camera Me...", "Oldest to Ne...", "Newest to Ol...", "File Proper...", "Clip Mana..."), and you can't resize the panels to avoid this. I'm on a 27" 4K display.

Spotify should never shuffle albums by default

When I listen to playlists, I use shuffle. But if I then switch over to an album and press Play, it keeps my shuffle on and shuffles the album. Why would anyone ever want to shuffle a single album? They're designed to be listened to in order.

Spotify engineers, if you ever see this: Turn off shuffle when playing albums.

Same-Day, Two-Hour Rise Detroit-Style Pizza

I made this beauty using Molino Signetti flour, the same wheat-free blend that u/gfpizzagoddess posted about yesterday. You can get similar results with Caputo Fioreglut, though.

More pictures on Instagram (celiacpizza). I can post the full recipe here if anyone cares.

Just wanted you all to know that gluten free peeps can still get down with the thickness! The process for focaccia is almost identical, in case you’re craving that as well.

Edit: Here’s the recipe. I’m still tweaking it, but this is what I used this time. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
- 560g Molino Signetti GF flour (gluten-free and wheat-free) - can also use Caputo Fioreglut
- 10g instant yeast
- 9g granulated sugar
- 10g salt
- 500g warm water (~105-110°F)
- 24g olive oil
- Additional olive oil (~25g) for greasing the baking pan
- 8 oz whole milk, low moisture mozzarella (although Wisconsin Brick Cheese is traditional, and Monterey Jack makes a great substitute)
- Hormel Cup N Crisp Pepperoni (70 slices – a little less than one pack)
- Your preferred sauce (I use Cento crushed tomatoes w/ oregano, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, red pepper)
- 10x14” Detroit-style pizza pan (Lloyd Pans are the best)

INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar, salt, water, and olive oil in a bowl, preferably a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. The dough will be very sticky.
- Add 25g olive oil to a 10x14” pan and rub along the bottom and sides.
- Add dough to the pan and, with oiled hands, spread out so it covers the entire bottom. Getting it into the corners is tricky but just keep stretching. Cover with plastic wrap.
- Preheat oven to 450° F.
- After two hours of rise time, the dough should have risen immensely. Top with all of the cheese but nothing else. Make sure to get plenty of cheese along the edges for a crispy frico crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 450, preferably on a baking steel.
- Remove from oven and spoon the sauce in stripes lengthwise down the pizza, then top with pepperoni.
- Bake for an additional 8 minutes.

4 free tickets to tonight’s game (235, row 4)

Edit: Gone!

I have 4 tickets to tonight’s 6:45 game and I can’t make it. They’re section 235, row 4.

They can be transferred but not resold, so please only claim them if you intend to go. I’ll transfer them via the Ballpark app.

To claim them, simply tell me your favorite thing you’ve ever seen at Busch Stadium – a game, a moment, an appearance… anything. For me, it’s Game 6!

Schnucks made a 250 lb gooey butter cake for America’s 250th birthday

Biggest gooey butter cake ever assembled?

I stopped by Schnucks Des Peres today and they had made a 250 lb gooey butter cake with powdered sugar dusting in the shape of an American flag. Slices were free but had a suggested $2.50 donation to Operation Food Search.

It was already half gone by the time I got there, but that whole table was filled.

The Des Peres Dierbergs is losing its Starbucks

I walked by the Starbucks inside the Des Peres Dierbergs today and there’s a sign saying that it’s closing as of May 31.

Any idea what it might be replaced with (assuming it is replaced)? I’m hoping for a Kaldi’s or COMA! 🤞🏻

Best GF biscuits and gravy yet

I mastered GF sausage gravy pretty quickly, but the biscuits have taken some trial and error.

For sausage gravy, simply swapping out the flour with sweet rice flour (AKA “glutinous rice flour,” even though it’s GF) is fantastic. Thick, tasty, and not gritty or gummy.

I used Loopy Whisk’s buttermilk biscuit recipe. The taste and the flakiness were both phenomenal. I wish I could have gotten a little more rise out of them, so that’s something I’ll work on. But overall, you really couldn’t tell this was GF.

Gravy:
1/2 lb Jimmy Dean sausage
2 tbsp sweet rice flour
1 cup milk
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown the sausage in a metal pan and allow it to stick to the pan a bit. Don’t drain the fat. Add the flour, stir, then add milk and scrape to deglaze the pan. This will give it some color. Serve hot over buttermilk biscuits.

I just got the game for XSX. I cannot believe how poorly it runs. It seems like every single time I move the cursor on the menu, it has to call SDS's slow servers. Changing the lineup in Diamond Dynasty legitimately takes 10+ seconds of loading between button presses.

I searched and saw some complaints about this from a month ago when the game came out but nothing since. Did you guys just get used to it? Is there anything I can do on my end to help with it? It makes me not want to play. I spend more time trying to navigate the menus than I do actually playing.
