[8.17.2026] Update Misinfo & Flair Changes

Disappointing that it has to be said, but the repeated submissions about how ER:LC is supposedly adding tanks, RPGs, explosives, flyable airplanes, real life brands, etc.. is getting old. (Spoiler, none of those are happening)

The subreddit is intended to be a more collected place of discussion outside of PRC. Yet the constant low quality "OH EM GOSH ERLC MIGHT ADD THIS?" or "Look at this dufus who made me mad in PRC, I'm going to make 12 Reddit posts about him" is essentially making this the same as the PRC Discord. This is not intended as a hub for you to come complain about the PRC moderators because you cannot understand the word "no", nor is it the place for you to come repost things by OMB or AmazePlayz and add nothing of value to the discussion - if I wanted to see an OMB video, then I would open YouTube.

Changes:

  1. Several old flairs have been removed
  2. The previous "Update/News" flair has been changed to "Update discussion" to help prevent people from misleading others
  3. New [Mod Post] flairs have been added that will designate "official" posts
  4. All advertisement style posts will be redirected to r/erlc_advertisement
    1. This includes "looking for" or "help wanted" style posts.
  5. Simply reposting a YouTube video by a relatively popular YouTuber will not be allowed unless you're adding something of value to the discussion.

The automod will soon hopefully be updated to reflect these changes as well.

r/america Subreddit Updates & Info 7.28.2026

The following changes have been made to help decrease spam and promote unique content.

  • Reposts have been disabled (temporarily)
  • A detailed and lengthy update to the automod that was previously left completely empty by the old subreddit moderators has been finalized and will continue to grow.
  • User flair is now required to make a post of any kind
    • User flairs consist of states, territories, and allies.
    • Not selecting a user flair will result in your post being removed by the automod system
    • Selecting a flair and resubmitting your post is encouraged
  • Sensationalized titles and headlines are more sensitive to removal. Especially ones that contain hasty generalizations.

Internet "theology" normally doesn't get to me. This got to me.

Not mentioned here but it's alluded to in the guy who's "super against abortion"'s comment. This idea that anti-abortion measures aren't worth fighting for because it would be harmful for women.. are we forgetting that we're trying to make it illegal to murder someone? Seriously?

By all means. Not every "pro life" bill is pro life. Most bills that come through any congress are packed with a load of nonsense that neither side can come to terms on, that's kind of just the name of the game.

Needless to say, this "yes man" attitude from people who claim to be "anti abortion" on the internet just drives me up a wall. If you cannot see that what we are against is murder, then you are not "anti abortion". Period.

Moving onto the other comment. "That and the Bible doesn't hold that life even begins at conception" floors me. It should not have to be outlined for everyone (in any religious doctrine) in plain English of every concept, if you cannot use context clues then you don't have any business pretending you're a theologian. It is the most fundamental concept of Christianity that God has a plan with you in it. Life and procreation are good. We are naturally driven to do so even without religious contexts. It should come natural that we want to preserve our own, not kill our child because we're afraid of financial implications, or educational implications, or even because of trauma.

This notion that a living human somehow isn't human just because you view it as a burden and thus you can kill them is psychopathic. At the very least, just say you want the ability to kill the unborn, it would be a lot more honest and upfront than the mental gymnastics required to twist religious texts in your favor when they are very obviously anti-murder.
