Dining in the area…

I just spent the weekend in Altoona and the food was pretty abysmal except for Jack and George. Champs is so bad… Knickerbockers menu is dated and expensive BUT I love that place. Texas Hotdogs? Look for what I paid it was pretty good.

I understand that there are good pizza and pasta shops in the area but are there any other good spots to have a meal the next time I’m in town? I’m not concerned about cost.

Free ticket to Railroader museum. 6/20/26

I’m passing through Altoona this weekend and have a spare ticket to the museum. My friend cancelled last minute and I’ve already purchased an extra ticket. If anybody wants it, please direct message me.

Value Question 2000 Mercedes C280 Sport

New Yokohama tires all 4 corners, new shocks all 4 corners, instrument panel was sent out and all LCD screens work, new OEM: coil packs and plugs, new cabin and air filter.

151,000 miles and was garaged most of its life. Runs and shifts great, idles smoothly and quietly.

Shiny white paint with no body damage (aside from a few touch up scratches over the years) and a clean black interior. Everything works including AC.

Do you all think it’s worth $4200? DC area.

An 883 is a decent bike…

I have owned probably 500+ motorcycles since I was 12 (99.99% all street bike).

I’ve had everything from 49cc to bigger and/or much faster bikes (V65 Sabre, 900RR, 600RR F4i, GPZ750 Turbo, Concours, ZRX1100, etc etc)… BUT it always surprises me when I run into someone who tells me I am too big for my bike.

One of the nine motorcycles I own right now is an 883 and I rode it today and a guy on a deuce said (whom I never met before) I was “too big for that bike”.

Yes, I like my Sportster. It is a reliable, simple, easy bike and it is relatively fun for what it is.

What is wrong with these guys? I’m not talking about all Harley riders because I have one too, but seriously.?

Edit: Yes, I normally have atleast 7 motorcycles at a time and I am constantly buying and selling.

I’m curious, has anybody started reproducing all those plastic and rubber trim pieces that sit on our doors and our bumpers for our cars? Interior as well.
