How am I going to fix this?!

How am I going to fix this?!

Stumbled upon the entire Journey Time collection at a thrift store, put in the first tape and it wouldn't spin (couldn't see if this was tangled up before I put it in) and it fell off the roll inside the tape. How do I fix this? Even my dad doesn't know and he grew up with these LOL

EDIT: THANKS EVERYONE!! I am going home from work and immediately going to try and fix this, lol! Sad news is the tape is already crumpled at the bottom you can see it when you look into it, but maybe most of the tape can be saved, just hope it's not on my favorite song! :)

How do I (25F) tell these girls 26F and 24F) that I no longer want to be friends?

Hi guys!

So weird story here.

I met these 2 girls in high school, we were all in different grades, but we were inseparable in high school and even a few years after that. We did so much together, supported each other, had lots of fun,

But we only see each other once a year and just text the rest of the time. I haven't seen them since December 2024 in person, and all they ever want to do is have 25$ brunch for 1 hour and then leave.

I asked them, both this summer and last summer, to go out for a hike with me, to the bars, swimming, fishing, just ANYTHING in person and 95% of the time they just ignore my messages or calls and talk around me. They're now the kind of friends who always go "omggg guys we need to get together!" then the rest say "yassss" and then plans are never made, and I'm expected to respond to their rants/useless texts about their day-to-day crap while never seeing them in person.

The kicker for me was when I got engaged a month ago, I told them both and they were excited to "be bridesmaids" but they weren't even on my invite list when I created it.... so there's that.

They keep texting about random or dumb stuff and I have just been unable to respond. I am debating just texting them both and saying "hey girls this friendship has run its course and I think we need to go our separate ways" or just letting it fizzle out until we just never talk anymore.

Thanks for the help everyone. Also, both me and them have plenty of time and plans with other people and you can tell because they post other people and friends all over social media, so we clearly don't prioritize this friendship equally.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 still worth it?

I saw a FB marketplace ad for a Garmin Vivoactive 3 for 60CAD, I think that's kind of a steal of a price!

Watch looks good and is proven to be working, just curious if it's worth it in this day since it's almost 10 years old? I only really want to track my runs, biking, and walking distance and don't care about crazy in depth metrics!

I know it's July, but I need to workout to prep for December's riding season!

Hi guys, I have been snowboarding off and on for about 7 years and REALLY want to go ham this coming year. My local ski hill shit the bed last year and stuff broke down so we only went like 4 times. I found I'm having trouble with jumping and just being agile, I can really only board and carve but I want to take more risks and have fun and be flexible and tough lol!

I'm 25F and a decent weight, just need to build some muscle and some flexibility before the season, can anyone give me some exercises or maybe youtube channels for snowboarding specific exercises? We have a home gym so it'll be easy for us!

Thanks :)

Need advice for a backyard wedding!

Hi guys! I just got engaged last night WOOO! :-D

MY fiance and I are definitely going extremely cheap with a backyard wedding so we can go on a nicer honeymoon, but I am very lost on what to do!

Has anyone had success with a super cheap backyard wedding? Where I live, I can reach out to companies about renting tents, arches, chairs, plates, etc! We will do fake flowers to go cheaper, and no DJ or photographer as we have a friend willing to MC and put his phone on some aux cord speakers, and my fiance's dad has an amazing camera, getting my wedding dress from a thirft store/marketplace, etc!

We just need a caterer and some of the smaller details will work out, any advice for the stress, planning, stuff I might be missing, etc! Is so welcomed :)

Thank you soooo much<3

Worst flu I've ever had in JUNE when I don't normally get sick in summer?

I don't understand this lol! So I live in Northwestern Ontario (Canada) and went down to Ottawa for a bachelorette party, and I picked up something absolutely disgusting.

It started as all cold/flus do, sore throat, fever, had one horrible night's sleep with a fever and then the fever pretty much went away, but then the COUGHING. OH MAN, the coughing!

I would cough and cough and had a sore throat after my fever so bad I genuinely thought I had strep throat. I coughed so hard I puked a few times, and then right when the sore throat went away, I lost my voice and now am dealing with Laryngitis which I've NEVER had before so it's scary.

My boyfriend is dealing with it too because we live together, he's had a low grade fever for days and coughing so hard he pukes too, genuinely concerning and in the morning it's like 30 minutes of hell and hacking up brown mucus and stuff for him, he hasn't been able to go to work.

Has anyone picked up something NASTY? Usually we get sick in winter if at all and it's extremely mild.

How is FitBit Air for passive tracking?

Hi guys! Been a Garmin user for a long time but the watches are so big and bulky, want something like the FitBit Air as it has no subscription.

Does anyone find it alright to track active minutes and cardio/HR without having to log anything? If I do a walk or a run I would just be curious in the passive tracking (i.e. not having to start a workout) in the watch itself and just set it and forget it.

Has anyone found it accurate and useful to passively track? :)

Fitbit Air for active minutes tracking?

Hi guys!

REALLY want to order the fitbit air, but just curious how people feel about it passively tracking activities in the background?

Basically, I want to really only check the fitbit app like once a week and just see how much exercise I got per day and how many active minutes for the week without having to log anything, doesn't matter to me what the activity is logged as or at all, just the minutes per week I spent active and heart rate elevated + steps.

Thanks! 😄

Did anyone else's home insurance increase a shit ton?

My home insurance with Allstate went up by 77$ a month this renewal! Shopping around has proven useless as all others are just much higher, literally nothing has happened to our home and we have been claim free for 5+ years, living in the country.

Curious if anyone else's jumped?

How to deal with this brown patch on our front lawn?

Since we bought this house over 2 years ago, we have had this problem each time with this brown patch of grass that refuses to grow. I planted some dollar store grass seed there right when the snow melted, but nothing at all yet. Someone told us it's probably grubs, but we don't know. Our yard is mostly sand, and we live in Canada so long winters, the grass around this is totally fine.

What to do here? :) Thanks!!

Removing 20 large tree stumps by hand, need tips and tricks!

https://preview.redd.it/krls18t83i3h1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93f625d2aa2207ded1868e91253d5cef8de3ddb5

These stumps are ranging from like 12" radius to almost 30" radius. A backhoe quote for a weekend was $1200 and we just can't afford that. Have almost 20 stumps to remove, please give me any tips and tricks to make this easier by hand to remove them :')

EDIT: OMG I just came back and the comments here are so funny! I love the people of reddit. These will absolutely be cut down with the chainsaw before we try to remove them, as per not going toe stump grinder/backhoe route, 1200$ is a TAD steep and our septic field is directly to the left of the stump the pic is taken by, have to be careful. Stump grinder sounds like a better option for the far ones! :)

Thanks folks!!

Becoming a fire fighter in Thunder Bay?

Hello, folks!

Going through a desire to change my career, getting tired of the office life.

I am a woman in my mid-late 20s and I'm in good shape, and went to college to do medical laboratory technician for 3 years, loved the medical field but sadly landed a good paying job at the office, the only cost is my SOUL IS DYING!

I'd love the chance to work as a firefighter and help the community and have a reason to workout and be strong, I was a volunteer firefighter for a few years so I know what it takes. I am just a bit unfamiliar with the process and the testing and all that, haven't been a volunteer firefighter for years so not sure if it changed.

Any tips for this lovely city on this topic?

Thanks! :)

Everytime I make and bake bread, I use simple ingredients like yeast, hot water, sugar, let it foam up, add honey and butter and flour, knead it with my kitchenaid and dough hook attachment, then I let it rise in a bowl and then again in the pans, and everytime I bake it I get this flat log of bread instead of nice poofy fluffy bread! Someone help lol not sure what I am doing wrong! 😄

Hi guys! First time posting here.

My partner and I acquired a camper from 1991, it is an Innsbruck fifth wheel, that basically has everything original including carpet and wallpaper, couch, chairs, cushions, bed, etc!

We have never owned a camper before, so we are kinda clueless on what to do. We have a checklist of basic cleaning, like clean windows, deep clean and remove and change carpets and mattress, wash anything it came with like cups and utensils, the chair and couch don't have detachable cushions so maybe a deep cleaning fabric washer machine would work?

Thanks everyone! Also any products would be great that you love to use 😄

Hi everyone!

You read it right, my boyfriend and I have been together since we were 16! We went through a lot together and grew up together, we bought our own house almost 3 years ago and we have 2 dogs, and are very happy together and go on lots of adventures and have the best time together, very much in love and everything is awesome between us!

He hasn't proposed, and I was only getting curious because couples around us who have gotten together proposed in like 1-2 years and some are having kids already at the same age as us but have been together for like 3-4 years.

I decided to ask him about it at the beginning of this year. after we went on an epic skiing trip for our anniversary in december.

He told me he doesn't feel grown up enough for that, and in all honesty I feel the same way, we both still act like teenagers and do dumb stuff and haven't lost our young spirit. I chalked it up to as he wasn't ready, which is totally fine!

Knowing this, I am not trying to bring it up again, but he will turn around and drop 1 or 2 thousand dollars on camping gear, stuff that he doesn't really need, but he doesn't seem to be ready to buy a ring or really even think about that sort of thing.

I know I shouldn't push and should be patient but we have this house and pets and this amazing life together he literally makes me feel like magic, but he just doesn't want to propose, maybe he never will.

Any advice on this? More specifically looking for nice people commenting and not just "he's trash sis leave him" LOL thanks everyone 😄 just want to understand better as he only said so much at the time!

Hi everyone!

I had Mirena for 3 years and near the end it wasn't sitting properly and making me bleed alot. I got it taken out, which was a horribly painful process and I had to dilated 3 separate times, it was just a nightmare and very painful!

I switched to very low dose pills, and now for some reason I am finding I get emotional really easily. My boyfriend will make a joke to me like call me dumb or make a joke about me to friends about a funny thing I did, and I get absolutely overwhelmed with embarrassment and start tearing up, it's SOOO NOT FUN! I never used to cry easily like this.

Last night after sex my boyfriend kind of rushed out of the room as he was hungry and didn't cuddle me after, and I CRIED because of that! Something that is no big deal I actually cried about.

What the heck is wrong with me? I used to be so tough and I feel very weak and fragile which is NOT me lol! Any tips are appreciated 😄

Just curious if any person out there has had the same or similar experiences!

I was on Mirena for 3 years, got it take out on April 20th and it was a horrible experience as it wouldn't come out, was digging into a wall, and they had to dilate me 3 times to get it out, it was very painful.

My Dr gave me pills called LOLO (low dose birth control pills) as my boyfriend and I still don't want any kids yet.

The past few days my boyfriend has said I'm acting weird in a funny way, like actually unhinged ADHD crazy funny (I do have ADHD) and he has asked a few times about it, I just don't understand how I'm any different so I just tell him I don't know.

I have also been more sensitive, I am usually a tough chick but I have been crying more at random things. I cry when my boyfriend makes jokes about me which I usually DONT CARE ABOUT, and I cried last night because my boyfriend didn't cuddle after sex he just kinda ran to the TV and turned it on, I usually wouldn't mind but I just felt so hurt for some reason!

I find I am never angry or in a bad mood, just more sensitive and get upset easily, never had this on Mirena.

Anyone else/any tips on this? Thanks everyone! 😄
